Calaveras County Welcomes Sheriff Whiting! Calaveras County's First Female Sheriff
San Andreas, CA...The Calaveas County Board if Supervisors appointed Undersheriff Rachelle Whiting Sheriff to fulfill the remainder of retired Sheriff Rick DiBasilio's term. Former Sheriff DiBasilio told us in May he was planning on retiring and that solid succession and operation plans were in place and that he and now Sheriff Whiting had been working on them the last couple of years. Video of her first comments as Sheriff and Swearing in is below.
