Interior Department to Block Oil, Gas & Mining Development on 4,000 Acres in New Mexico
Washington, DC...The Department of the Interior announced a proposal by the Bureau of Land Management (BLM) to protect more than 4,000 acres within the Placitas area in Sandoval County, New Mexico, to safeguard sacred Tribal lands, boost important local recreation opportunities, and support wildlife habitat connectivity. The proposed mineral withdrawal would prevent new mining claims and oil and gas development in the area for a 50-year period, subject to valid and existing rights.
The Pueblos of San Felipe and Santa Ana have long sought protections for the Placitas area, which they consider ancestral and sacred lands. The site, located near the Albuquerque metro area, also provides close-to-home outdoor recreation opportunities and is popular for hiking, camping, sightseeing and hunting. The proposal would help protect, preserve and promote the scenic integrity, cultural importance, recreational values, and wildlife habitat connectivity within the Placitas area.
“Today we’re responding to calls from Tribes, elected leaders, and community members who want to see these public lands protected,” said Secretary Deb Haaland. “We look forward to hearing more from the public to inform decisions about how activities, like gravel mining, may impact these lands, including the important cultural and natural resources.”
“We recognize the importance of the Placitas area, both for Tribal Nations and for the local community who visit and recreate in this area,” said BLM New Mexico State Director Melanie Barnes. “We look forward to receiving public feedback during the 90-day public comment period, as we consider protections for this area.”
The proposed withdrawal is located on four separate tracts and contains known archaeological resources that range from as early as the prehistoric Paleoindian period through the historic Statehood period and beyond.
As a member of Congress, Secretary Haaland sponsored The Buffalo Tract Protection Act to protect the Placitas area. Legislation has been introduced by members of the New Mexico congressional delegation five times in recent years.
Today’s announcement begins a 90-day public comment period to gather input on the proposed withdrawal. Additionally, the BLM will host a public meeting on Nov. 14, 2023, from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at the Placitas Library. The comment period closes Dec. 19, 2023.

^Seriously, that is your way of thinking? You can't end fossil fuels as everything is made from them. You notice how expensive gas is now and will continue to rise because Bumbling Biden has stopped drilling for oil. It is called supply and demand. The less barrels of oil for the United States the more expensive gas is. This climate change is a bunch of crap. There is no way that the climate is going to change by switching to all electric. Get your head out of your ass and face reality.

I had such a wonderful dream, but strange, it was about 3/4's or more of our Nation was celebrating. Our Adversaries were crying in fear, and our Stock Markets had the biggest gains in history when the news broke.
President Joe Biden along with his wife Dr Jill and their economic advisor Hunter Biden had taken off in Air Force One for China for a business meeting/vacation.
Kamala Harris our Border Czar was going down to Brazil in Air Force Two with a plane loaded full of our Tax Payer Money to throw at corrupt Presidents and Dictators to keep the millions of their citizens home.
A terrorist cell in our Nations Capitol, just one of the dozens of terrorist cells that have crossed our Southern Border out of the 8,000,000 plus illegals since Biden became our Dictator, had set up to take out Air Force One with a FIM-92 Stinger that was suppose to go to Ukraine to be used against Putin's most advanced attack jets. Sadly the Biden Administration has lost tens of millions of dollars worth of US arms just like the Billions of Dollars worth of US weapons Biden handed over to terrorist in the worst US military Blunder in our History.
As Air Force One was gaining speed for lift off a missile was seen being shot off from about 2,500 yards away and homing in quickly on the president's plane. Not being anywhere close to being able to use counter measures, Air Force One tried to turn as the Stinger Missile hit Air Force One and as Biden's vacation plane was trying to turn away from the missile coming down the runway was Air Force Two and both planes hit head on!!!
Americans all across our once great country screamed, and they cried, and people from the Atlantic to the Pacific could be seen holding one another, weeping, wailing, in a moment never seen since the Twin Towers had fallen.
The next few days as the news hit the internet, the newspapers, and the American people were informed about their biggest worries, their fears, explaining what they felt when they saw this unfold, they all were crying and wailing. CNN was there for all Americans, Democrat, Republican, Independent, the Communist Party of America, whoever and whatever party, they were all united in agony of that fateful day of uncertainty. But their question was answered, YES, YES INDEED, the Tax Payer Money in Air Force Two was fully insured, and Americans Rejoiced, arms around each other, laughing, celebrating, singing the National Anthem, and Americans across these lands asked for a new Federal Holiday but the Republican Party with the Speaker of the House taking over as our 47th President of the United States said NO!!! As he made this fateful day a week long holiday, all American Citizens paid a minimum $1,000 and that was the day our Great Nation Celebrated our long climb out of the sewer pit that the most corrupt, the worst, the Senile Imbecile that was elected POTUS and his cackling Hoe put the Nation.

The Saudis, Russians have reduced crude/gas exports, this drives the price of oil products.
The US should return to no crude oil exports. Why they allowed it was because the Gov of N Dakota asked Congress to rescind the export ban. The US was not importing crude at the time, now N Dakota is not producing crude, the US is once again exporting crude. This is short sighted, as situations change.
Gas could be $6.50 - $7 by Nov '24 , what the Saudis, Russians are hoping.
The media no friend of Democrats are not informing the public as to why gas is so high, we have lost an informative media, they are owned by the Republicans.
We need solar , home charged vehicles. This reduces the cost of operation by 2/3 and more, reducing the electricity bill for homes also. Time for Solar , end fossil fuel use.

There we’re enormous climate changes long before the internal combustion engine was ever invented, what happened to the ice age, what happened to all the dinosaurs, those of you that believe that man has anything to do with this are pissing in the wind! The oil companies have lied to us for 150 yrs. or more is BS, if you live in this country you have profited from oil and gas, transportation, plastics, the food you eat, just a few, your allegiance to ignorance is beyond any intellect that can measured!
