Fire Update....Calaveras Consolidated Fire Says 35 Acre Knoll Fire Started Near a Motorhome
Valley Springs, CA...About yesterday's Knoll Fire from Calaveras Consolidated Fire..."Firefighters from Calaveras Consolidated, CalFire, San Andreas Fire, Mokelumne Hill Fire and Central Calaveras Fire are currently on scene of a vegetation fire on South Ranchero Rd in Valley Springs near New Hogan Lake.
Forward Progress is stopped at approximately 35 acres and crews will remain on the scene throughout the night.
The cause of the fire started started near a motorhome is under investigation.
During the height of the fire a drone was spotted over the fire and Aircraft Operations were stopped until law enforcement could apprehend the owner of the private drone.
A reminder to EVERYONE… DO NOT FLY A DRONE NEAR A FIRE!"
