The painted frogs of Calaveras County is a community art project sponsored by the Calaveras County Chamber of Commerce. Each of the fabulous frogs is sponsored by a local business or individual. That sponsor then works with a local artist to design and paint the frog to uniquely resemble that sponsor.

12 business had their frog on display at the Harvest Home Festival over the weekend. Some of the businesses include: Calaveras Country Humane Society, Angels Camp World Mercantile, Vintage Realty, Mikes Pizza in Angels Camp, Bret Harte Sports Department and more.

One of the most popular event during the festival was the nugget hunt. Gold nuggets were hidden all over the festival and guests were entered into a drawing to win a prize if they found all the nuggets.

The cool autumn weather was a beautiful background to a home filled weekend. Over 30 venders were very pleased with the crowd turnout and cant wait until next year.
