San Andreas, CA...Here’s Oscar (AO55720), a neutered male Boxer American Bulldog mix, estimated to be 5 - 6 years young, weighing in at 68 pounds and eligible for our 55-5 senior discount. Oscar is a timid boy who takes a bit of time to warm up. After 5 days he is starting to relax with some volunteers. He is nervous around the noisy dogs he has met at the shelter, but staff and volunteers are helping him get ready for his forever home. Might that be your house?
Oscar is calm, quiet and gentle with good leash manners. You’ll love him.
He may be housebroken since he keeps his kennel clean. A meet ’n greet is required if you have another dog., but Oscar is ready to follow you home since he is neutered.

All dogs available for adoption at the Calaveras Animal Shelter are up-to-date on their routine vaccinations and will be microchipped. All unaltered cats and dogs must be spayed or neutered before they can go home with you.
Animal Services now has a Fee Flexibility Program!
When the dog or cat population at the shelter is at 80% or above capacity, the total adoption fee will be 50% off––reduced to $40 for dogs and $30 for cats. The adoption fee for cats who arrive at the shelter already altered will be $10. With the 55-5-5 Program, any time an adopter is 55 or older and adopts any pet over 5 years old, the adoption fee is $5.

Gal Luft, the Israeli professor wanted on arms trafficking charges who went missing in Cyprus, reportedly said he is alive and living as a fugitive after he skipped bail out of fear he would not get a fair trial because he says the Justice Department is trying to "bury" him to protect the Biden family.
"The chances of me getting a fair trial in Washington are virtually zero," Luft told The New York Post in a phone call from an undisclosed country as he explained why he skipped bail. "I did what I had to do."
Luft, a former Israel Defense Force colonel, denies the seven charges against him, which include allegations that he conspired to sell Chinese products to Kenya, Libya and the United Arab Emirates. He said he was forced to skip bail and leave Cyprus in April because of political persecution by the U.S. government.
Luft had met with FBI and Justice Department officials in 2019 at the U.S. Embassy in Brussels, where he provided information that CEFC, a Chinese state-controlled energy company, had given Hunter Biden $100,000 a month and Joe Biden's brother, Jim Biden, $65,000 a month in exchange for their connections with the FBI and use of the family surname to promote the Chinese Communist Party's Belt and Road Initiative.
Luft had a business relationship with a nonprofit think tank associated with CEFC, according to the Post. Luft is co-director of the non-profit think tank, the Institute for Analysis of Global Security, which received a donation of at least $350,000 from CEFC, according to court testimony reported by The New York Times in 2018.
House Oversight Committee investigators were planning on interviewing Luft before he went missing.
"When it was clear the Republicans are going to win the House or the Senate, all of a sudden comes [GOP Rep. James] Comer and [GOP Rep. Jim] Jordan and the game is changing. There will be questions and subpoenas and investigations [so] they [the administration] have to discredit me. I never thought of coming forward. Through 2020 I sat quiet like a fish," Luft said. "I didn’t want to get caught up in this game, but when they arrested me, I had no choice but to blow it up."
Speaking to the gun-running allegations against him, Luft said, "I was charged for a thought crime. ... I was asked by a bona fide arms dealer, an Israeli friend, to inquire with a company I knew if they had an item and what would be the price of an item. This is where the conspiracy ended. No follow-up, no money, no brokering activity."
He said the Justice Department "is trying to bury me to protect Joe, Jim and Hunter Biden."
