President Biden on the Bipartisan Budget Agreement

Washington, DC... I’m sorry to keep you waiting, but we’ve got good news. We’ve got a — I just spoke with Speaker McCarthy, and we’ve reached a bipartisan budget agreement that we’re ready to move to the full Congress. And I think it’s a really important step forward — excuse me — (clears throat) — and it takes the threat of catastrophic default off the table; it protects our hard-earned and historic economic recovery.

And the agreement also represents a compromise, which means no one got everything they want. But that’s the responsibility of governing.

And the — this is a deal that’s good news for, I believe you’ll see, for the American people.

The agreement prevents the worst possible crisis: a default for the first time in our nation’s history — an economic recession, retirement accounts devastated, millions of jobs lost.

It also protects key priorities and accomplishments and values that congressional Democrats and I have fought long for — long and hard for.

Investing in America’s agenda — that’s creating goods jobs in communities throughout the country. It protects Social Security, Medicare, and veterans, and so much more.

The Speaker and I made clear from the start that the only way forward was a bipartisan agreement.

That agreement now goes to the United States House and to the Senate. And I strongly urge both — both chambers to pass that agreement.

Let’s keep moving forward on meeting our obligations and building the strongest economy in the history of the world.

I’ll take a few questions.

Q Mr. President, you said at the beginning that the debt ceiling was not negotiable. Isn’t that what you’ve just done here? And isn’t that what you’ve (inaudible)?

THE PRESIDENT: You guys — look, we’re not negotiating the debt ceiling. Here’s the deal: They passed — they said they’re going to — if they pass the debt ceiling, and they said they’d only do it on a condition that it have all these cuts in it. I said, “I’m not going to do that. You pass the debt ceiling, period. I’ll negotiate with you on the cuts — what you say what’s going to happen, what the budget is going to look like.”

That’s what we are negotiating in order to get to them deciding that they’re going to go along with a new debt ceiling, meaning that it’s not attached. Something totally different attached that wasn’t attached before.

But if you want to try to make it look like I made some compromise on the debt ceiling, I didn’t. I made a compromise on the budget.

Q But that’s what they wanted, is you to make a compromise on the budget, and that’s what you’ve done, even though you haven’t gone as far as they wanted. Isn’t that right?

THE PRESIDENT: Sure. Yeah. Well — (laughs) — can you think of an alternative?

Q Mr. President, what do you say to members of your own party who say you’ve made too many concessions in this deal?

THE PRESIDENT: They’ll find I didn’t.

Q Mr. President, on your allies and adversaries to America, would you be willing to say about what you think this process said to those adversaries and allies? You have a deal now, but what does the process say? What does the struggle say to them?

THE PRESIDENT: Well, it says we’ve been through this more than once, and it’s just the nature of the way we handle the deficit and handle whether we’re going to, each year, going to pay our debts. And it’s happened more than once. It will probably happen again. But it’s not going to happen at least for another two years here. And I don’t think beyond — I think beyond that, it won’t either.

Q Mr. President, do you think it’s time for the U.S. to get rid of the debt limit? That this is — you know, for that — the reason you just laid out?

THE PRESIDENT: No, I think it would cause more controversy getting rid of the debt limit, although I do — I am exploring the idea that we would at a later date, a year or two from now, decide whether or not the 14th Amendment — how that actually would impact on whether or not you need to reduce the debt limit every year. But that’s another day.

Thank you all.

Q Mr. President, do you believe Speaker McCarthy has the votes? And did he negotiate in good faith?

THE PRESIDENT: I think he negotiated with me in good faith. He kept his word. He said what he would do. He did what he said he’d do. And I have no idea whether he has the votes. I expect he does, or I don’t think he would have made the agreement.

Q Mr. President, do you have a comment on the elections in Turkey? Have you spoken with President Erdoğan?

THE PRESIDENT: I have not spoken to him yet.

Q Some of your Democratic colleagues are saying that this policy will lead some people to go hungry. What is your response to that?

THE PRESIDENT: It’s a ridiculous acer- — assertion.

Q Do you wish you had started these negotiations sooner?

THE PRESIDENT: No, it wouldn’t have made any difference.

McCarthy: Cut the budget by 22%, or we will sabotage the economy.

Biden: Yeah, that doesn’t work for me. How about, keep the budget the same, expand Snap, not touch SS, Medicaid, or veterans services. No I won’t budge on student loan relief either.

McCarthy: K.

Re: Child Sex Trafficking a Biden Family Tradition
Posted on: 2023-05-29 11:24:09   By: Anonymous

A half-dozen members of Congress are demanding answers from the Biden Homeland Security Department about why it is ending genetic testing at the border that has been key to detecting fraudulent immigration and child sex trafficking

The letter Thursday night led by House Oversight subcommittee chairman Glen Grothman, R-Wis.,was prompted by the publication this week of an internal Customers Border Protection memo by Just the News that revealed it was ending DNA familial testing at the =end of May.

‘Since 2019, Department of Homeland Security (DHS) officials have performed familial DNA testing on some family units to ensure the safety and security of minors and prevent them from being exploited by adults,” the lawmakers wrote acting CBP Commissioner Troy Miller. “This testing has led DHS to detect numerous attempts of familial fraud at the southern border..

“Given the numerous identified cases and reports of exploitation of children in fraudulent family units, it is alarming that CBP will cease DNA testing for family units, which is an important tool to identify and prevent human trafficking and exploitation,” the lawmakers added.

You can read that letter here:

    File
GG Letter on Family DNA Testing.pdf
In an interview with the Just the News, No Noise television show, Grothman said the decision to end the DNA testing is “just to me unimaginable” and will likely embolden drug cartels to traffic more foreign children into sex and drug operations.

“The border is not under control of the Border Patrol,” he said.”The border is under control by the Mexican drug cartels. And that is a reason why you should be especially concerned if a child is coming across with someone who is not related to them.”

Grothman’s letter cited some startling statistics:

Between 1 and 3 out of every 10 children tested for DNA at the border proved not be the children of the adults that claimed to be their relatives
60% of unaccompanied minors crossing the border are forced into child pornography and drug trafficking by the cartels
27% of human trafficking victims are children
“This situation is a direct result of the failed policies the current administration has chosen to implement with respect to border security,” the lawmakers said. “Such policies have aided and empowered the cartels in their human trafficking efforts.”

Other members of the Subcommittee on National Security, the Border, and Foreign Affairs to sign the letter included Reps. Andy Biggs, R-Ariz., Clay Higgins, R-La., Pete Sessions, R-Texas, Kelly Armstrong, R-N.D., and Jake LaTurner, R-Kan.

The letter demands documents and answers to questions, including why the DNA testing contract was ended as of May 31, what officials made the decision, what if any other contingencies were considered to protect children and how many many times in the last three years did DNA tests detect fraudulent migrants.

The revelations on the DNA testing comes just a month after Grothman and his subcommittee revealed the Biden administration glost track of 85,000 unaccompanied minor children who were let into the country and placed into homes.

The DNA testing was originally implemented in the Trump-era and utilized by Customs Border Protection – following a court order related to the separation of migrant children from their families and evidence drug cartels were using children to create fake family units to sneak illegal immigrants across the border.

But over the weekend, a CBP memo sent to frontline border agents announced the testing will cease when its vendor contract expires this month.

"The U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) familial DNA contract with BODE Technologies will end on May 31, 2023 and all familial DNA testing will conclude on that date," the memo reads.

    LEAKED MEMO_Redacted.pdf

The memo also states such collecting and testing of familial DNA is "separate" from "booking" DNA collection, which is done by the FBI, and that BODE’s expiring contract "does not impact collections as part of the CODIS (Combined DNA Index System) program," which is expected to proceed “uninterrupted.”

CBP has identified numerous family fraud attempts by illegals over the years. In 2022, a DHS inspector general report found that roughly 1 in 10 (8.5%) of children tested turned out not to be related to the illegal aliens who were crossing with them.

Re: FIVE TIME COWARD IN CHIEF LIES TO VETERANS
Posted on: 2023-05-29 11:31:50   By: Anonymous

On Memorial Day, Biden VA record of caring for veterans raises alarm

Early in the debt ceiling crisis, the Biden administration tried to scare veterans into believing Republicans might cut their benefits, which did not happen. But the administration’s own treatment of the nation’s warriors suffers from glaring failures ranging from lax security to benefits delayed by unwarranted tests.

The failures were laid bare in a series of reports and memos made public by the Department of Veterans Affairs's internal watchdog, the Office of Inspector General, shortly before Memorial Day and reviewed by Just the News.

“OIG staff have identified significant deficiencies," VA Inspector General Michael Missal wrote to Congress in a cover letter accompanying the agency’s latest semiannual oversight report.

“Our oversight efforts spotlighted in this report help illustrate how weaknesses in any of these areas of accountability can negatively affect veterans and can waste or misuse taxpayer dollars,” he also said.

You can read the report here:

    File
    VAOIG-SAR-2023-1.pdf
Missal flagged numerous audits and investigations that uncovered problems affecting the health, safety and services of America’s veterans.

They included a recent management advisory that highlighted “concerns revealed across four prior oversight reports about [Veterans Benefits Administration] decision-making on claims-processing issues that adversely affected some beneficiaries.”

The unfixed problems flagged in prior years also included the continued delayed of veterans benefits because unwarranted exams are being requested, the reports show.

“Veterans are still being required to attend unwarranted medical re-examinations for disability benefits,” the semiannual report noted.

“Unwarranted reexaminations are a waste of appropriated funds, could cause undue hardships for veterans, and reduce the efficiency and timeliness of claims processing," the report also reads. "The OIG found VBA did not require staff to cite objective evidence for why reexaminations were needed per policy.”

Another glaring problem required urgent action to fortify VA facilities suffering lax security.

“Persistent police staffing shortages and growing concerns about risks to VA staff, patient and visitor safety at healthcare facilities led to an OIG review of observed security and incident preparedness conditions,” the semiannual report stated.

A review of 70 such facilities “identified multiple security vulnerabilities and deficiencies, most notably security staffing shortages that contributed to the lack of a visible and active police presence,” also according to the report.

Another red flag involved the VA’s lax approach to dealing with suicidal veterans with access to firearms.

One report noted there are “deficiencies in lethal means safety training, firearms access assessment and safety planning for patients with suicidal behaviors.”

“The review team examined the electronic health records of 480 patients with firearm-related suicide behavior events,” one report noted. “Among patients with nonfatal events, VHA staff failed to document required safe storage discussions in approximately 30 percent” of the cases.

In addition, some serious problems were flagged at individual VA hospitals. For instance, in Puget Sound, Wash., a patient’s care was delayed by “poor documentation and inadequate staff training,” while at a Washington, D.C., facility a patient was able to attempt suicide by gaining access to medicines, the reports showed.

Even a facility in President Joe Biden’s home state of Delaware was found deficient when a patient at a Wilmington care home suffered “harmful complications” from eating the wrong food because of staff errors.

The breadth of problems waiting to be fixed in VA was stunningly clear in a table the OIG appended to its semiannual report that listed more than 150 unresolved recommendations from prior investigations.

Democrat Lies, sooner or later those Lies will bite you in the Ass
Posted on: 2023-05-29 11:21:09   By: Anonymous

"It's time to pay." Those four words from Missouri Democrat Rep. Cori Bush are being heard a lot by Democratic politicians across the country this month. For Bush, the debt amounts to $14 trillion in reparations for Black Americans."
Democrats were all in ( to buy votes) saying they're going to pay some Black Americans reparations, and now they're balking and making excuses. Go figure!!
It's the same thing about sanctuary cities, like NYC Mayor Eric Adams, Martha's Vineyard, Chicago, Washington DC, all of them always lied with big smiles on their faces, everyone is welcomed, migrants from anywhere will always be welcomed with open arms.
Now that they're getting just a tiny fraction of illegal migrants, they're screaming this isn't right, we can't afford this!!! NYC actually kicked out American US MILITARY VETS, HOMELESS VETS, to give their rooms up for illegal immigrants.
Now another lie to buy votes is coming due. The lie of Reparations, the Democrats promised is coming to bite them in the ASS.
"In California, activists are demanding as much as $5 million per Black resident and asking Gov. Gavin Newsom "where's the money?" One member of Newsom's Reparations Task Force demanded that the state pay its "sin bill"
"In Tampa, after demanding $3 million per Black resident, a witness said that he and others were putting "White people on notice that we want our reparations." Bills are coming due after years of political campaigning on these issues. "
"Newsom recently balked at the payment of the reparations recommended by his own task force, though he has indicated that some cash payments may still be made. Newsom attempted the long-expected pivot and said, rather plaintively, that dealing with the legacy of slavery "is about much more than cash payments." It may be too late for that spin. Recent polling shows 77 percent of Black Americans now support reparations – a stark increase in recent years."
Just a matter of time now, remember the Summer Riots? Where the democrat DA's let 90% of the rioters off the hook? Now all of their lies about Reparations and backing out will make those riots look like a picnic.
You know what governor Newsom said after his own Task Force came up with the Dollar amount?
"Newsom attempted the long-expected pivot and said, rather plaintively, that dealing with the legacy of slavery "is about much more than cash payments." It may be too late for that spin. Recent polling shows 77 percent of Black Americans now support reparations – a stark increase in recent years. "
Again, democrat sponsored riots coming to you.
