Theft of Volunteer Search and Rescue Team Generator

Arnold, CA...On September 26, 2022, a volunteer member of the Calaveras County Sheriff’s Office Search and Rescue Team (SAR) discovered that a theft had occurred from an Incident Support Trailer and that a Honda Generator had been stolen from inside. The trailer was parked within a fenced county facility in Arnold and the perimeter fence had been cut by the suspects. The suspect(s) had gained entry into the trailer by defeating a locking mechanism.

The missing generator has been identified as a Honda EU3000 Generator. The generator is described as a Honda 3000-watt inverter generator (EU3000) and is about 26”x18”x22” (LxWxH) and it weighs over 130 pounds. The generator had been used by Search and Rescue to provide power for the incident command during off-grid search and rescue incidents, communications, map making, and lighting in the field.

Although the SAR team is supported by a small number of Deputies who are assigned from the Calaveras County Sheriff’s Office, the team is primarily staffed by volunteer members of the Calaveras Community. Equipment purchase and maintenance are mainly accomplished using funds generated by the volunteers during fundraising efforts. The replacement of the generator will consume funds that were already budgeted for other equipment necessary for direct search and rescue activity.

If you have any information related to this theft, please contact the Calaveras County Sheriff’s Office at (209)754-6500 or the anonymous tip line at (209)754-6030.

Don't you need to have money to buy something? Oh, you're a Democrat, nevermind.

        Ron DeSantis stole it.

Says he'll be hooking it up to the Florida grid once hurricane Ian passes through.

Thieves are one of the worst human beings.I agree with the countries that cut off a hand. All child molesters should have a tattoo on the middle of their forehead.

Get an electric fence, alarm and cameras. Or someone take the trailer home to a yard with security and a guard dog..

Set up a fund where we can donate and post it in local news. You do not need to use social media...just give a safe location, person (their contact) to leave donations with.

Nothing else missing? A "Targeted theft". Previous knowledge of what was in the trailer.

How does one “defeat” a locking mechanism? With bolt cutters? Calaveras no different than other communities these days in the need for greater security. We remain generous, though. Organize a gofundme account and guarantee local businesses and individuals will come through to replace.

I like your idea for the GoFundMe, we know it won't go for cigs, booze, pornography like someone like anti would buy.
I also like the tattoo on the forehead and maybe castration while serving 20 years minimum, no chance in hell of parole.
But today, what happens to criminals? Lib/dem DA, judges let them go to prey on others. It seems to be a lost cause because of the woke...until a crime happens to them.
