Tom Tryon and Lee Seaton to Interact with Community at Murphys Town Hall Meeting on Monday September 15th
Murphys, CA....County Supervisor Tom Tryon and challenger Lee Seaton, a member of the Angels Camp City Council, will interact with the voters living in the Murphys area when the Murphys Community Club presents its latest Town Hall Meeting Monday, September 15, 7 p.m. in the Native Daughters Hall, 268 Main St......
The two men are the finalists in the November election that will determine who will represent the people of Calaveras County’s Fourth Supervisorial District for the next four years. The district encompasses the communities of Murphys, excluding the Forrest Meadows area, Douglas Flat, Vallecito, the City of Angeles Camp, and Highway 4 west to, but not including Copperopolis.
The evening’s format will give each candidate the opportunity to make short opening and closing statements, to ask each other a limited number of questions. The bulk of the time will be devoted to entertaining questions directly from audience members. After the 90-minute program, there will be an opportunity for continued conversations during the social time that follows.
JoAnna Reagan, a Murphys Community Club board member, has organized the event and will serve as the moderator.
“The meeting is open to everyone,” states Reagan, “but we hope the discussion will focus on the issues most important to the people who live in the Murphys area.”
The Murphys Community Club presents these Town Hall Meetings three or four times a year. The goal is to bring neighbors together to discuss subjects of mutual interest.
