Congressional Level Cookies, Cub Scouts & Mingling
Copperopolis, CA...In an earlier piece we posted the video portion of Congressman Lungren's Visit to Copperopolis for a Town Hall Meeting on Tuesday Eve. We thought we would pass along a few photos as well. One highlight of the evening were the cookies! 2005 Bret Harte Graduate and Former Lungren Staffer, Stephanie Larson, was so kind to bake up a huge batch of delicious sugar cookies with patriotic Red, White and Blue frosting. Even Lungren's Communications Director, Brian Kaveney ,gave them rave reviews and made repeated visits to the cookie basket as I did of course! I even brought some "to go" for my family....but they somehow did not make it. Stephanie served in Lungren's Washington DC Office and also at his District Office....
Former Staffer Stephanie Larson and Her Cookies
Susan is now attending college, along with her Political and Culinary Skills her career will be worth watching.
Supervisor Thomas should be given high marks for playing host for the evening during the Congressman's visit. Also on hand that we noticed in the crowd were Planning Commissioner Bill Mason, Former County Supervisor Paul Stein, Supervisor Candidate Gary Tofanelli and numerous other movers & shakers.
One local Navy Veteran was also on hand to ask the Congressman about the current housing and economic problems. As we noted earlier the bulk of the the evening was spent talking about energy policy.
A local cub scout group was so kind to honor the crowd with the pledge of allegiance.
