New Classes on Television Production begin September 9, 2008

San Andreas, CA...Calaveras residents are fortunate to have their own public access television studio where local events are produced for cable channels 7 and 9. Ed Lark, the manager at the Public Access Television Studio, will be starting a new television class (lasting 11 weeks) that will teach you the basics of video production including the care and use of a camcorder, tripod, wireless microphone, lighting equipment, as well as editing techniques. These classes are supported by the County and are free to Calaveras County residents. Classes are held at the studio every Tuesday from 7 to 9 p.m. Classes are limited to 16 students since much of the instruction involves hands-on use of the equipment....

We’re looking for students of all ages who would be interested in video production and who may enjoy the fun and challenge of creating a program for television. We’ll give you the necessary training. We’ll provide you with the video equipment. All you need is the desire to create a program of your interest. Call 754 4021 to save your place in the class which begins September 9. Come by and visit us. We are happy to show you around.
