Calaveras County Reports Another Covid Death

San Andreas, CA...Updated COVID-19 Dashboard - Tuesday, January 18, 2022*  View the interactive dashboard here: https://bit.ly/3bHNbXJ  Calaveras Public Health is sad to report one additional death from COVID-19 that includes a male in his 70s. To those people experiencing the loss of a loved one to COVID-19, the team at Calaveras Public Health offers our condolences.



To help prevent the spread of COVID-19:

• Get vaccinated against COVID-19 as soon as you can.

• Wear a mask that covers your nose and mouth to protect yourself and others.

• Stay at least 6 feet apart from others who don’t live with you.

• Avoid crowds and poorly ventilated indoor spaces.

• Wash your hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds or use an alcohol-based hand sanitizer to get rid of germs on your hands.

• Avoid close contact with people who are sick.

• Monitor your health daily.

Symptoms can appear 2-14 days after exposure to the virus. The symptoms of COVID-19 include:

• Fever or chills

• Cough

• Shortness of breath or difficulty breathing

• Fatigue

• Muscle or body aches

• Headache

• New loss of taste or smell

• Sore throat

• Congestion or runny nose

• Nausea or vomiting

• Diarrhea

 
Look for emergency warning signs for COVID-19. If someone is

showing signs, seek emergency care immediately:

• Trouble breathing

• New confusion or weakness

• Bluish lips or face

• Persistent pain or pressure in the chest

• Inability to wake or stay awake

      I believe you mean a 0.2% death rate. As in: 0.2%×500= 100%

      0.2% sounds like a small number if you're alive to hear it. If you're one of the dead, you obviously don't hear it.

      Think of a gun cylinder chambered for 500 cartridges. Load the empty chamber with only one round, leaving 499 empty. Spin the cylinder, put the barrel to your head, and pull the trigger.
