The 2008 Mountain Ranch Music Festival...Glowing Prose and Video by Larry Vile
Mountain Ranch, CA...At a $5 admission price, it was truly one of the very best musical entertainment values of the summer! KDQ Productions really out did themselves this year, and brought together a fantastic collection of talented local bands representing various styles of music. This festival seems destined to grow into a bigger event, as each year the quality of the bands that perform just keeps getting better and better...
Jeremy Norris, a local musician who has played guitar for over 20 years (formerly lead guitarist for the Wing Nut Adams Band) thrilled the audience with his high energy guitar licks. Alma Melodiosa, with their original Latin sound, had everyone up and dancing, and for the heavy metal fans, Stratus Age Of Iron put on the type of show you might have paid $50 to see at a bigger venue. All of the other bands that performed were just as incredible. The food and micro-brew provided by the vendors was top notch. All this for a $5 admission price, with the proceeds going to support their local park, what a great event. I only wish we had more like it.
