We wouldn't be playing whack a mole with illegal grows with no respect for the environment and spending so much of the SO budget if we had allowed registered, tax paying ones. Meanwhile, we learn that many ag products in our county have suffered great losses during the pandemic. It's a shame that Calaveras couldn't have been more forward thinking; that revenue has since moved on to other counties who are reaping the benefits..

Registered and tax paying growers were no better than the illegal grows, some were still filthy operations and would sell their pot to anyone who would pay including your kids, dirty industry all the way around. Keep up the good work Sheriff!

Good! If your going to grow it do it legally, no problem there. BUT if it is illegal like in places such as AC city limits, and according to their codes and ordinances, Medical Marijuana is not a safety net that is illegal too, then do something about it. Read up on your codes and ordinances AC and do something about these transplants growing and selling it out of their homes and claiming Medical, cause that can't happen as well. Just food for though. Quit turning your backs AC!
