In addition to allowing for public comment, the task force will hear expert testimony on: (1) Housing and Education Segregation; (2) Environmental Racism; (3) Racism in Banking, Tax, and Labor; and (4) The Wealth Gap. More information about the task force and previous public hearings is available here: https://oag.ca.gov/ab3121/meetings.

Do these people in Sacramento have nothing else to do but think of ways to continue to control the people of California. Stop with all of the racist and sexist crap! This is Communism at its best.

Communism: noun: a political theory derived from Karl Marx, advocating for a society in which all property is publicly owned and each person works and is paid according to their abilities and needs.

Reparations for the descendants of enslaved Americans is only just. Their ancestors were forced to build the economic engine of the United States. Why should they not be PAID (capitalism) for their work?!

Right, pay those who are not enslaved for the enslavement of people they don't know or have never met. Going down rat holes like this when the basic fundamentals of our society and economy are falling apart is just lunacy.

My grandparents came to the US as LEGAL immigrants, learned the language, worked hard, made good choices, were responsible citizens and slavery was already abolished. No history of owning slaves in my family. Why the fuk should I be responsible for any reparations. I’ve already paid reparations through taxes that fund all the bullish!t social programs that rarely work.

The United States was constructed on the backs of enslaved Africans and their children. That is the structural weakness upon which our democracy was built. It’s past time that we began to consider reparations to the ancestors of the slaves who were forced to build the original 13 colonies. No one wants to talk about slavery and reparations, but there’s never been a time limit on morality.

Native Americans were also commonly enslaved in colonial America. Why are reparations to them not a part of the discussion?

This is what our founding fathers warned us about. . . Every politician should cary the same warning stickers as a new ladder so we can better understand the dangers in liberal policies that always costs freedom and peace of mind.

These waste of time liberal get-togethers are killing the American Dream. So knock-off this crap and lets get something positive done for a change. . .

Kin Jong Un comes to mind when I read about these liberal wants, needs and desires. North Korea hasn't worked out so well for the citizens now has it!!!

We patriots must counter and resist all this liberal crap! Direct our attention to delivering a better quality life for all with increased power and water generation and improving our quality of life NOT curtailing it!

Newsom allows the forest wildfires to burn, while outlawing gas lawn-movers & leaf blowers - its comical if it weren't so sad!

These liberals must never again be allowed to hold seats in our local, state and federal governments, they have no brains or sense of place - they are driven by an agenda that they do not understand yet they continue along the same destructive course without a conscious awareness of the long term negative consequences! Silly, blinded, stupid liberals - very sad for America!

Wake up and smell the freedom and the energy of capitalism, prosper and enjoy happiness for a change - being so negative is bad for the soul and the liberals view on everything in our daily lives just proves they are on the wrong tract! Evil has overcome this poor lost souls. . .

KVML “Newsmaker of the Day”. Here are his words:

“Hello, I’m Congressman Dan Newhouse, a third-generation farmer representing the 4th Congressional District of Washington state, and I’m honored to be delivering this week’s Republican Address.

Central Washington is made up of honest, hardworking, freedom-loving Americans who provide food and fiber for this nation, and my district is home to some of the most dedicated and innovative agriculture producers in the country.

Washington’s farmers and ranchers produce more than 300 commodities, including high-quality hay, wheat, beef, dairy, and specialty crops like apples, hops, potatoes, cherries, mint, and winegrapes. Blessed with the conditions to produce such a diverse range of crops, Central Washington is proud to share its natural abundance in helping feed the country – and the world. Those of us who live here have a deep appreciation for our nation’s farmers and recognize how important it is that we have a strong domestic agriculture sector.

But lately, President Biden and his far-left Democrats are so focused on radically altering the country with their $4.3 trillion dollar spending spree that they’re blind to the impacts their own policies are already having on Americans across the country. Inflation is at a 13-year high, and now they are looking to raise taxes on small businesses and family farms—all while hiring 87,000 more IRS collection agents.

As a lifelong farmer, former director of agriculture for Washington state, and current Chairman of the Congressional Western Caucus, I understand the vested interest we share in supporting our agriculture producers – and I am proud to join my House Republican colleagues in advocating against burdensome regulations that impact rural communities.

The Democrats’ proposed Death Tax would devastate Central Washington families looking to pass their farm on to their children. In fact, this provision alone often determines whether family farmers and ranchers can maintain their land from one generation to the next – or if that land will be broken up, sold off, and paved over.

I always find it ironic that the same politicians who decry “Big Agriculture” are also the ones who constantly advocate for policies and regulations that make it harder and harder for small family farms – like mine and those of my neighbors’ – to survive.

It’s not just Democrats’ disastrous poliamamcies we’re having to fend off. That’s why I, alongside my Republican colleagues, am leading the effort to stop our foreign adversaries, like Communist China, from gobbling up American farmland and taking control of our food supply chain.

Even as Congressional Democrats pile regulatory burdens on rural Americans, President Biden continues to stretch the limits of his executive authority. His Administration is trying to revive the single most overreaching federal regulation in history: the “Waters of the United States” – or WOTUS – rule. This dangerous policy empowers federal bureaucrats to place every single body of water – every ditch, puddle, and stream – under federal regulation, and as a result, the livelihoods of farmers and rural communities across the nation are at stake.

A farmer could be fined thousands of dollars by the EPA if they so much as rotate their crops without asking permission from the federal government – that is the real-world impact of these ridiculous policies.

It is clear to me – just as I know it is clear to my constituents – that President Biden and Democrats in control of Congress are failing to display the leadership America needs and deserves. Instead of continuing to cater to the radicals in their party, it’s time for them to take a look at how their policies are harming us here in Central Washington and in rural communities across the country. We deserve far better.”

Chinese labor was also used. Now it's Mexicans especially in California. Since California is a highly populated with leeches...umm most Democrats who won't work if it's hard labor, so they hire minorities. These are the same people who point their fingers at people on the right calling them racist, but the state with 40,000,000 the majority of them Democrats, too lazy to work hard has to get slave labor. Hell, look at our President Dementia Joe, his entire career he's been a racist, he oppose busing so his kids didn't have to be schooled with blacks. Even Kamala said he was racist and Jill Biden became so mad at Kamala she said F&#K Kamala! during the debates. Insult to injury, the handlers ( elder abusers) of a senile president made Kamala Joe's pick as VP many believe a token, to get the minority boys. Now it's buyer remorse for millions who voted for our senile COWARD in CHIEF.
The truth and misery of his presidency, all of the Disasters he's created has his numbers falling like a lead ballon.

"The United States was constructed on the backs of enslaved Africans and their children."

That's just not true. Take a look at this county, no black slaves built it. Many skilled hard working immigrants did. You could try that Chinese railroad/mine victim thing, hut many other immigrants also worked right alongside them. The Chinese were eventually removed and sent home because they had become drug addicts and refused to work. They would rather smoke opium all day. Drug addiction was off the charts with them in their opium dens.

If you want so called Blacks paid, (doubt you could actually find their descendants because they are so racially intermixed, just like the Indians who keep adding people without lineage proof.) If you want them paid you need to actually track down the slave owners families and hold them responsible. No one else should have to pay anything to them. I'm really pissed off with you simpletons who always want give away someone elses money.

      That's just not true?
Too many generalizations in your thought process.
All Chinese workers that came to the US were not opium addicts. Many that stopped working for mining companies and railroads because they were severely mistreated and underpaid. All of them did not leave. Many started businesses or worked only for other Chinese businessmen.
Many Native Americans did not mix with other Americans. You have heard of reservations?
Black Americans have mixed with some other races in small percentages. To use voluntary interracial mixing is a denial of the big picture.
Africans were brought to this country as slaves. Very few Africans came voluntarily. Africans were bought and sold in this country. African Americans were bought and sold in this country. These are undeniable facts.
You can't change history and historical facts.
The idea that African descendants deserve reparations is the question. To make amends for past injustices will be hard to put a price tag on.
Undeniable that Japanese internees deserved reparations.
Undeniable that Native Americans deserve reparations.
African American descendants deserving reparations? Tough to decide who the guilty party is that has to come up with the reparations.

Democrats looking into RACISM? The Founding Fathers of The KLU KLUX KLAN? A democrat president who said aboard Air Force One " We'll have those ni66ers voting democrat for the next 200 years" What a hypocritical party the cult of the left is.
Here's an ex- Air Force Caption, African American KELVIN KING: "I think what's happening right now is that the American people who voted for Joe Biden, they're waking up. They're finally waking up and they're experiencing a bit of buyer's remorse especially in the Black community. The Democratic Party, they've taken the Black vote for granted for years. We all know this and the Biden administration, what they're doing right now is a bit embarrassing. I mean, we have vaccine mandates that are costing jobs in the Black community. We have the debacle in Afghanistan and our military members who are Black are embarrassed about that, and we have a border crisis that's poorly managed. Don't forget about inflation. Inflation is hitting everybody and their pocketbooks. And Black men- we want opportunity. Just like any other American, we want to be able to pursue our American dream and we don't want handouts or special privileges.
In other words he's telling the democrats and their Socialism policies 🖕 you ARE the RACIST, YOU ARE THE PROBLEM.

So now you're putting words in Kelvin King's thoughts that are implied by you.
He also didn't say that he'd rather choose what the GOP has to offer, but that's what I would imply from his words.
He said that the Democrat Party is taking the black vote for granted. The same can be said about Latino votes, Asian votes, Senior Citizen votes, Union votes, and any other votes that have historically gone to Democrat candidates.
Either way, during an election it often comes down to the voter choosing the lesser of two evils.
