Sonora Doctor Arrested in Fatal Fresno Hit & Run

Fresno, CA...Fresno CHP has made an arrest with help from an anonymous tip to Valley Crime Stoppers of Fresno. The Fresno Area of the California Highway Patrol made an announcement into its investigation surrounding the fatal hit and run crash which took the life of 26-year-old Juliana Ramos, of Reedley, Ca.

This hit and run crash occurred on February 10, 2021, at approximately 12:20 A.M., on State Route 99 near Manning Avenue. An initial collision had occurred between a Hyundai Elantra and a Volvo commercial vehicle in the northbound lanes of State Route 99. As a result, the Hyundai driver sustained major injuries.

Following the collision, good Samaritan, Mrs. Juliana Ramos, drove into the scene and stopped her vehicle in the center median adjacent to the Hyundai. Mrs. Ramos exited her vehicle and without hesitation, went to assist the injured driver still seated in his vehicle. As Mrs. Ramos was rendering aid near the driver side door of the Hyundai, a red SUV drove between the Hyundai and Mrs. Ramos’ vehicle, striking and killing her at the scene.

The driver of the SUV fled the scene without rendering aid to Mrs. Ramos or calling for assistance.
Today we announced the arrest of suspect Mr. James Comazzi after 8 months of investigation.

Another Adventist physician from Sonora Regional Medical Center who is arrested for fatal hit and run. 5 years ago Dr. Danny Anderson was convicted of the same crime and tried to hide the incident for 4 months before he got caught. Dr. James Comazzi tried to hide this incident for 8 months before he got caught. Is this the Adventist way of life? These Adventists are supposed to be holier than thou and treat people with respect but no, especially if you are a physician, you are to save lives and not kill people and try to cover it up and hope that you don't get caught. This man hits and kills this young lady and takes off in his vehicle and then eventually gets out of his vehicle to see if there was any damage and then continues on his way without administering and medical aid to this young lady and let her die in the middle of the road. So Dr. Comazzi posted bail and is out of jail. Is this physician still seeing patients in his office while awaiting trial? I hope not and I would not want to be one of his patients as God knows what he would do to your body especially if were not one of his favorite patients. This man appears to be pure evil and I hope that his medical license is revoked, he goes to prison, and gets a wrongful death lawsuit against him that ruins him for life. Shame on Adventist Health for employing these two physicians that can't be trusted with patients lives after these fatal incidences.

Dr. Comazzi was my cardiologist. Never got along with him. He treated my heart problems for years. Around Jan and Feb. 2021 he put me through all the heart tests as I had a heart attack when I was 41. At that time I was now 70. After 30 years I feel he should have done a angiogram. Two months later I had a heart attack and CABGx3 surgery. If he had done a angiogram instead of all these tests he would of seen 3 blocked arteries one 95% blocked second 90% block and the third 85%. I would not of had the heart attack and damaged my heart more. He had not been caught when he came to Modesto's Doctors Hospital to pray for me before my bypass surgery. It just makes me sick to think he had killed someone and had not been caught and standing beside my bedside. He is no Christian!!

Our son is a doctor and those in the medical profession take the hippocratic oath to uphold a high standard of ethics. Truly sad to see this kind of failure as both a human being and doctor. Prayers for the victim who understand quite well her calling and her loved ones left behind.

Doctor or not he should be fully punished for taking her life and trying to hide from it.

I am sure as a doctor he has already buried many of his mistakes. Don't let him get away with this one.
