Bear Valley, CA...The lovely new long awaited Silver Mountain Condo's are here! This the first new condominium project to be completed in Bear Valley since the 1970's. This project while not directly tied to Chuck Toeniscatter, led investment group that will be building a new Village Lift and Bear Valley Village is nonetheless a strong signal that even in tepid economic times progress is still being made at the top of the hill. This first phase of the Silver Mountain Condos consists of 20 units and over 100 planned. One thing that really impressed us was that these units felt and sounded almost vault like in their solid feel and lack of noise transfer between units. The Silver Mountain Condos
Hundred units over the next few years. Behind Toeniscatter, his group will be the next single largest developer. The Silver Mountain Condos were the first project finished in part because portions of the project were already underway when his group purchased the project. Murphys Architect, Michelle Plotnik did a wonderful job of creating pleasing living spaces with the design constraints of a unified high snow load building.
All of the units feature in floor radiant heating and very high quality cabinets and trim. There are several different models including very nice two story units on the top floor. Chris Cook believes strongly in Green Building practices where possible as well. All units have fully covered heated parking on the ground floor.
Bear Valley Real Estate is the lead broker and we had the opportunity to spend a few minutes with BVR's Joel Barnett last weekend during an open house they held for the kick off of the sales portion of the project.
The latest bit of news on the Bear Valley Village project is the Draft EIR for the New Village and Village Lift projects will be ready for unveiling next month. The last loose end before the EIR can be released as we understand it is actually relating to Calaveras County traffic numbers. For those of you who may not remember there are plans in place to bring a high speed chair right into the current Bear Valley Village that will allow Bear Valley to become a true Ski In - Ski Out town. There are also plans for an entirely new Bear Valley Lodge and Commercial Center as well.
It is very gratifying to see progress in Bear Valley. This project as it starts to build out will have a significant impact on the economy of our area.
Construction jobs, Real Estate transactions and the increased population densities will bring additional full time jobs to our area as well.
