Honoring Marine Sergeant Nicole Gee ~ Congressman Tom McClintock

Washington, DC...Congressman McClintock delivered the following remarks on the House floor honoring the selfless service of Marine Sergeant Nicole Gee from Roseville, CA. Mr. Speaker: Every American knows the image of George Washington crossing the Delaware, the fallen rifleman at Gettysburg, the marines raising the flag at Iwo Jima. Our history is punctuated with moments of individual heroism and virtue so profound and moving that they live forever in the memories of our countrymen and the story of our country.

To these iconic images, history has added another: that of a young Marine Sergeant in full combat gear, cradling a helpless infant in her arms amidst the unfolding chaos and peril at the besieged Kabul Airport and proclaiming, “I love my job.”

The entire story of the War in Afghanistan is told in that image: the sacrifices born by young Americans who volunteered to protect their country from international terrorism; the heroism of those who served their country even when their country failed them; the idealism of a generation that tried to bring enlightened modernity to an afflicted society. And most of all, the stark contrast between good and evil; tyranny and freedom; barbarity and justice; brutality and mercy.

Above all others, this is the image that describes it all. It is given power and immortality by the spirit of the young woman in that photo, Marine Sergeant Nicole Gee.

Through the ages to come, this picture will speak of the sacrifice of blood and treasure of 20 years of struggle, and of the vision of hope, liberty, justice and humanity that summoned patriots like Nicole Gee to leave their homes and families and to place themselves in harms way on the other side of the world.

As Shakespeare put it, “This story shall the good man teach his son.” Historians looking back on this age, will find its story summarized in this single picture and illustrated in the life, dreams and sacrifice of Nicole Gee.

They will note that her life ended just days after the image was taken, at the age of just 23 years. They will remember that this angelic young lady was cut down with 12 of her brothers and sisters by incarnate, insensate evil. They will ponder where that young life might have led.

It’s an important question and the answer is known to all who knew her. She could have done anything she wanted. Married to her high school sweetheart, a 4.1 GPA at Oakmont High School, “One pretty bad-ass marine,” as her sister put it. She could have done anything she wanted. And what she wanted most was to serve her country and serve humanity. Who else but a guardian angel, amidst the chaos and violence of those last days in Kabul -- could look beyond all that and into the eyes of an infant and proclaim, “I love my job.”

Speaking of the fallen heroes of past wars, James Michener asked the haunting question, “Where do we get such men?” Here is the answer: We get such men and women from little towns across America like Roseville, California. They leave their family and friends in pursuit of the highest virtues of which human beings are capable. And they do it because their country asks them and because it is noble.

I don’t know how to offer condolences to Nicole’s family; to her husband Jarod, her father Rick, her sister Misty, her family and friends. The loss they bear is beyond my comprehension.

I can only offer my awe and gratitude that humanity has within itself a small band of brothers and sisters like Nicole Gee. For without them, America, that “last best hope of mankind on this earth,” would not be possible.

A few steps from here in the Rotunda is a fresco called the “Apotheosis of Washington.” It depicts Gen. Washington, in uniform, ascending to the heavens, flanked by victory and freedom, and surrounded by the essence and fruits of a free nation. And in that depiction, Washington beckons.

From little towns like Roseville, California, decent young men and women with promising futures like Nicole Gee have answered. And I don’t know how their families can bear it.

But I do know what we owe them. Before her father left the stage at a community memorial, he had one request. He pleaded, “never forget her please, never forget her.”

We can never repay that debt, except to honor her memory, keep her sacrifice always in mind, and to draw inspiration from her dedication and devotion to God and Country – to ALL those who sacrificed everything “To proclaim liberty throughout all the land, and unto all the inhabitants thereof.”

    Covid Comorbidities- Fox, Newsmax, Facebook
Posted on: 2021-09-25 11:01:26   By: Anonymous
The main Covid comorbidity is Fox, Newsmax, Facebook.
They are responsible for the deaths from Covid- over 2000 a day.

They question science, the peer reviewed data, and trials of the vaccines. If the vaccines are unsafe, why after millions have been vaccinated, are there only a handful of any severe reactions, and no deaths? Meanwhile over 2000 die every day all due to them questioning science the data. It is a sorry turn for a once united great country to now be torn apart by the promoters of lies, all for political gain, to try to regain power thru death and economic terrorism.

Freedom of speech is one thing, a important right, but media outlets do not have free speech rights, when they knowingly are killing thousands a day from their anti mask, vax propaganda- lies.

Why some choose to be soaked in the lies of the fascist con reich wing is a study in cult behavior.

You would think after so many family members died from the lies spewed on hate radio, cable commentary not news , and social media, they would say no, but their kids now are dying, all for their cult beliefs, which are lies, and misinformation.

Why are people willing to die for lies?

Re: Covid Comorbidities- And many people are smarter and know the facts, especially in the medical field, scientist

Actually it's the government's fault not left or right, the government.
Besides Biden not following science, the minorities do NOT trust the government and rightfully so. The goverent's lies time and time again, their experiments on blacks and minorities. Just look at how many treaties our Government broke with native Americans and if you want, read about this from a neutral MD site.
Oh one other thing, just in NYC 1 in 8 teachers are not vaccinated, those aren't trump supporters.
Here's that link, and this isn't the first time our government experimented on American Citizens

PS : From Kamala Harris. ""If the public health professionals, if Dr. Fauci, if the doctors tell us that we should take it, I'll be the first in line to take it, absolutely. But if Donald Trump tells us that we should take it, I'm not taking it," Harris said."
"Vice President Mike Pence responded that Harris should "stop playing politics with people's lives" and accused Harris of "undermining" a vaccine"
Biden also hasn't been following the scientist recommendations, taking a vaccine and taking booster shots before any recommendations can have a reverse effect. Hank Aaron died from vovid they say, but he actually died from getting the shot, so the medical people say it's covid related.
This is why many in the medical field who are healthy, will also not take the vaccine, another read if your curious.

The Biden administration's summer was plagued by multiple crises: From Afghanistan, to rising prices, to a record setting influx of migrants at the border.

Even legacy media outlets, known for their mostly favorable coverage of President Biden, couldn't avoid covering the constant trickle of bad news from overseas and at home. Democrats – spurred by the deaths of 13 US service members in Afghanistan – even began hammering the president.

And as Republicans raked Biden over the coals for having "blood on his hands" in Afghanistan and leaving Americans stranded, President Biden needed to shift the national discussion away from his botched withdrawal.

"This is not about freedom or personal choice," Biden said in an address to the nation about his COVID vaccine mandate this month. "It's about protecting yourself and those around you, the people you work with, the people you care about, the people you love. My job as president is to protect all Americans."

The announcement set off a media frenzy, as up to 100 million workers could be affected by the mandate. Headlines began focusing on how companies and organizations would work to follow the mandate, and how announcements from some organizations saying they would not comply. Republican lawmakers declared the mandate "unconstitutional," and healthcare and government employees took to the streets to protest.

Critics have since sounded off that the mandate was a distraction, with Sen. Ted Cruz arguing that the administration wanted to change the national discourse from Afghanistan and subsequently "issued this completely illegal and unconstitutional vaccine mandate."

But Biden's woes didn't end with the withdrawal from Afghanistan.

The border crisis soon reemerged when 14,000 migrants huddled under a bridge in Del Rio, Texas last week; the Pentagon admitted a drone strike killed 10 civilians in Afghanistan and not ISIS terrorists; France pulled its ambassador to the U.S. from Washington, D.C; news broke that the nation's top-ranking military officer, Gen. Mark Milley, reportedly gave assurances to China that America would not strike the country during the Trump administration; and there's been confusion over Biden’s coronavirus booster campaign.

Just days after news of the Del Rio border crisis and the botched drone strike dominated headlines, the Biden administration announced new COVID travel requirements Monday for foreign nationals entering the U.S., ordering them to be vaccinated before coming to the country.

The move nearly backfired when Fox News's Peter Doocy questioned White House press secretary Jen Psaki if proof of vaccination or negative COVID test will be required for migrants at the border as images of the Del Rio encampment became hard to ignore.

And as outrage mounted over the claim that Border Patrol agents were using whips on Haitian migrants, CDC Director Rochelle Walensky overruled an agency advisory committee on Friday, saying the COVID booster shot will also be available to healthcare workers and others with high exposure to the virus, after an FDA panel rejected distribution of the booster shots to the general public last week.

The move put her on defense, and she told the media her agency is "absolutely following the science" after concerns that Biden's administration was backtracking on the vow to listen to health experts during the pandemic.

As the various troubles mounted for Biden, critics escalated criticism that his administration is distracting away from negative press.

Sen. Josh Hawley sounded off after reporters were denied questions in the Oval Office during Biden's meeting with UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson, slamming Congressional Democrats for "defending" Biden's "evasion, distraction, and outright lies."

What a lovely, heartfelt eulogy. Thank you, Mr. McClintock.

Well done and valiant, and may you rest peacefully, my sister in arms.

(I’m not a one of Mr. McClintock’s supporters, and I’m not in favor of 90% of his political positions.)

Please remember. For the last 12 years Tommy has sat up there in Washington DC supporting these endless wars. Tom is truly culpable in this young woman's death and those of the 2,400 other Americans killed on Afghanistan.
Tom's speech is nothing but a poor attempt to cover up his responsibility, just like any other dog kicks up dirt to cover their stink.
