Given that no more Americans are going to die in Afghanistan thanks to Biden, I don't know how much longer they can pretend that it's news... COVID, on the other hand... plenty more going to die thanks to Abbot and Desantis, etc.

Americans may not die in Afghanistan but they most assuredly will die because of the way we left Afghanistan. Biden's death toll from Afghanistan is just beginning.
As for Mississippi and Covid. While Mississippians may be less than intelligent in your eyes they have made informed decisions and believe their risk profiles sufficient.
I morn their deaths and applaud their right of self determination.

I see the story on pretty sketchy news sites... I can't find any actual scientific of epidemiological research to validate this.
Given how thin the coverage is, it feels like a pretty shady story that was planted. Any credible news outlets (anyone who fact checks) reporting on this other than in "People say...." way.
Medically, this just seems very unlikely that it works in India, but nowhere else. If this were the case Missoui would be in a good place.
