Governor Newsom Highlights New In-Person Student Rates, Nation-Leading School Safety & Prevention Efforts

Oakland, CA...Governor Gavin Newsom visited a TK-8 school in Oakland to highlight the state’s efforts to safely open schools for full in-person instruction, highlighting new state data showing that the vast majority of school districts are reporting that 95-100 percent of students are in-person. This, in addition to California leading national trends when it comes to keeping schools open and keeping kids out of the hospital.

“We implemented the most robust school reopening and safety strategy in the entire country, and now California’s students are back in the classroom and schools are remaining open at nation-leading rates,” said Governor Newsom. “It’s no coincidence that California is the first state to advance out of the CDC’s ‘high’ transmission category and has the lowest case rates in the entire country. The state’s efforts and resources have made schools among the safest places in our communities.”

The state’s new Student Supports & In-Person Dashboard provides data collected from school districts regarding how many students are back in classrooms, and the expanded educational opportunities and wellness services available for students – the data shows that the vast majority of districts have 95-100 percent of students in-person, and nearly 98 percent of schools are expanding mental health, after-school and tutoring programs:

Additionally, the new District 2021-22 Instruction Status Map provides a regional breakdown of student in-person rates, expanded educational opportunities and in-school outbreak-associated cases:

CDC data has shown that California is leading national trends for keeping kids out of the hospital: as of September 12, the national rate of COVID-19 hospitalizations for those aged 0-17 was 3 times the rate of California’s, while Florida’s rate was 6 times that of California.

Nationally, California is leading national trends in keeping schools open. According to the independent site Burbio that tracks nationwide school closures, roughly 1,900 to 2,000 school closures have occurred this year, with only nine in California – amounting to roughly 0.5 percent of total closures nationwide:

Through the winter, the Governor championed urgent action to provide school funding to both accelerate school reopenings in the 2020-21 school year and expand student supports for the summer and 2021-22 school year. AB 86 was enacted on March 5, 2021, with $4.6 billion (of $6.6 billion in total funding) dedicated to expanding student supports. Schools used those early funds to expand educational opportunities for the summer and the upcoming school year. According to the summer data, 89 percent of school districts reporting offered new learning opportunities over the summer, including learning acceleration (e.g., high-dose tutoring), enrichment and mental health services.

Building on this funding, the Governor signed into law a historic $123.9 billion K-12 education package that represents a transformation of our public schools over the next several years.

Some Schools Closed
Posted on: 2021-09-16 10:08:08   By: Anonymous
Some Ca schools have been closed for periods of time due to high community spread of Covid.
Who knew?
Anyone with a brain can see that in the rush to open the schools, the covid case rate would rise.
What is acceptable? If a school had to close obviously it was not s good idea to go to full class instruction.
In Israel, the reason for the many break thru cases in the vaccinated population was the opening of the schools to the kids who could not be vaccinated.
Our schools must learn that normal cannot happen until all kids too can be vaccinated for covid.

That is stupid. Just as stupid as trying to force all Americans to be vaccinated but letting in illegals with covid, bussing them everywhere in the wee hours of the morning, not telling the governor's and mayor's where this is happening. Not telling the illegals, to be here you MUST be vaccinated.
But nope, we have a Senile leader, or at least a puppet President. Whoever is calling the shots is one dumb ass MF'er

France kills ISIS Leader Responsible for US Military Deaths

Headlines on NBC

France says it killed ISIS leader behind deaths of U.S. soldiers, hails big victory
French President Emmanuel Macron announced the death of Adnan Abu Walid al-Sahrawi overnight.

Remember the joke we have as Secretary of State saying "we" killed a guy driving a truck filled with explosives with a drone? Well it seems Biden did t tell everyone they actually killed an Aide worker, father of seven who's truck was actually filled with water containers for his family.
That's our Joe, the Dementia Patient Leading our Country like no one before him. The man and administration who " Leaves ericans Behind"
Thx Dems

When you lie about the biggest military blunder in our history including abandoning American citizens, did Joe think that those in charge of our soldiers, their well-being, should take the blame for this catastrophe?

The top U.S. general on the ground in Afghanistan told top Pentagon officials that he opposed the total withdrawal of troops before President Biden made the final decision.

In a closed briefing Tuesday to the Senate Armed Services Committee, Gen. Austin Scott Miller confirmed that he registered his dissent with Mr. Biden’s decision with the top brass — Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin; Gen. Mark Milley, chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff; and Gen. Kenneth F. McKenzie Jr., the head of U.S. Central Command.

Mr. Biden was asked in an interview last month whether his military advisers suggested that he keep a residual force in Afghanistan to avoid a total collapse. He told interviewer George Stephanopoulos “No. No one said that to me.”

You can read the rest about our National Embarrassment and Coward In Chief.
With all of Joe's bad decisions it's getting hard as to where to focus next. How about our southern border where the press, journalist, hacks the liberal Joe Biden friendly media, whatever you want to call them, still AFTER 8 MONTHS ARE NOT ALLOWED TO VISIT? It must really be a disaster inside those cages Biden and Obama built, that you dumbacraps we're so easily manipulated into thinking trump built. All of your bigoted wailing and crying like little kindergarten infants throwing temper tantrums. Now? Not a peep, the liberal news media hasn't told you what to do, have they?
I guess being in the least educated state as adults, also means the left is the easiest to be manipulated too? 74% of the voting population of this state votes for Dems, makes sense doesn't it? It sure as hell can't be a coincidence.

Let's hope what you've all done, voting for Joe and his just as useless VP doesn't hurt our country permanently, kill more American citizens, more of our military personnel.
Pray if you think it helps, if you do, maybe ask for forgiveness too.

Biden, Making The Taliban Great Again
Posted on: 2021-09-16 15:01:26   By: Anonymous
🤣 Nation Leading School Safety and Protection???
How about Nation Leading Learning Schools instead? But noooo, Calif is the least educated state in the nation of adults 25 and older. Also a nation leading in the population of overwhelming democrats, coincidence? No, nope, no chance.
California is like DC, though DC isn't a state though Dems tried that to benefit them in our presidential elections. Another similarities of the two.
Calif and DC are both overwhelming democrat voters California the state’s poverty rate of 18.2 percent is exceeded only by Washington DC, which has a poverty rate of 18.4 percent when you account for the cost of living. It accounts for about 1 in every six residents. When it comes to poverty Democrats are number one and number two.
Now look at the most violent cities in our Nation, see where that goes too? Yeah unless you're an imbecile, but since 40% of our population here vote to keep Gavin I have to tell them but they won't believe the facts anyway. The overwhelming most violent cities in America are almost EXCLUSIVELY DEMOCRAT RUN AND HAVE BEEN FOR DECADES. You see, the voters, they're just too easily manipulated there too.
Amazing isn't it, the stupidity of so many people who buy the same sack of lies time after time? Don't forget, Defund the Police your democrat politicians say, as they hire extra security for themselves. As Biden arms the Taliban with 84 BILLION DOLLARS IN THE BEST WEAPONS AND ARMOURED VEHICLES US TAX DOLLARS CAN BUY WHILE HIS ADMINISTRATION TRIES TO TAKE THE LEGAL GUN OWNERS WEAPONS AWAY.
MAKES PERFECT SENSE....FROM A PRESIDENT WHO FORGETS EVERYONES NAME OR NOW EVEN WHAT HIS GENERALS TELL HIM. Or his and his son's foreign business partners name or even meeting them.

So back to schools and education. All very interesting regarding the above comments, not. If California’s school system is so great, what is their nation wide ranking? Right, failure in a epic manner!
