Old Equipment

The old equipment of PG&E is failing.
The transmission tower hook that started the Camp fire was installed in 1912.
Much of PG&E equipment is long past due to be replaced.
In contrast, the 3 major utilities in Ca lobby against rooftop solar, which would new equipment to the grid, and lesson loads on flex alert days.
The old guard, PG&E included want to keep the old model- fossil fuels, and utility monopoly.
There is a choice- more of the old thinking- monopoly, and pollution, or a green new deal, good for health of the earth, it's people, bringing jobs, and new infastructure.

Don’t applaud your generator too quickly, a dem. Has a piece of legislation on Gavy’s desk which would outlaw all gas driven gadgets, including generators, weed eaters, chain saw a, and so on.
