Should All Government Officials Learn about Our Founding Documents? ~ Al Segalla

Copperopolis, CA...Should our children and their children be allowed to live in a free and independent America? Long established trends in politics and media seem to promote marxism and international control, but not our Constitution, which supports a free society. If this is true, what can we do?

Why not encourage all government officials and representatives to learn about our founding document?

How?

There is an excellent booklet "The U.S. Constitution And Fascinating Facts About It". A copy can be obtained online or at the County Library.

Also available, is a Free 10-week online course from Hillsdale College, "Constitution 101". This is a great offering. Perhaps we should ask political candidates if they have taken the course?

Why not take action now? After all, don't our children deserve it?

Al Segalla,
Copperopolis, CA

I know we love stroking off to the constitution on the GOP side of the house, but it really does warrant a page 1 re-write every couple hundred years or so.

If it's all about Democracy, shouldn't we expect public servants to study ancient greek democracy as well?

Bluntly, I'd rather they were familiar with more recent and relevant documents like the Calaveras County Zoning bylaws. Or the affordable care act.. Or at least didn't read FoxNews.

Our founding documents are inalienable rights in prose. Some things change but not human nature. The founders got it right.

Except for the fact that the founding fathers explicitly didn't trust the citizens to have a direct democracy...and instead build out an explicitly non democtatic system to

It limits democracy like the indirect election of the president, undemocratic election of senators (later fixed by the 17th amendment) and many checks and balances on the powers of the different branches of government.

Everywhere you look, the failures of Governor Newsom are obvious and appalling to everyone. For this reason, the Recall Gavin 2020 campaign is not conservative or liberal, or right or left, or Republican or Democrat. This is a mass uprising.

Our Recall Gavin campaign is building a grassroots organization with over 80,000 California voters already signed up as volunteers to sign and circulate recall petitions. That number is growing every week. And this is just the beginning.

Are you tired of being locked up, unable to make a living, at the same time as California’s prisons are being emptied? Do you wonder why Gavin Newsom’s cronies are building “supportive housing” for the homeless at a cost of over a half-million dollars per unit, instead of just getting them help in less expensive facilities? Then join the Recall Gavin 2020 movement.

Did you struggle to run a business, even before this lockdown, because of overregulation and the highest taxes in America? Did you lose your livelihood when Gavin Newsom signed AB 5, which made it illegal for many companies to negotiate with independent contractors? Then join the Recall Gavin 2020 movement.

Are you troubled by the growing encroachments on the 1st Amendment; our right to speak our minds, to freely assemble, to congregate whether it’s at church or on the beach? Are you troubled by encroachments on your 2nd Amendment rights, threatening your ability to purchase a firearm to protect yourself, especially now? Then join the Recall Gavin 2020 movement.

Are you ready to take the offensive against the ongoing destruction of our public schools? Have you had it with new laws that make it impossible to hold students or teachers accountable, making many of our schools unsafe? Do you believe you have the right to control what sort of sex education (or indoctrination) your child receives? Then join the Recall Gavin 2020 movement.

Do you wonder how California’s cities, counties, and state agencies will ever pay off their pension debt, or balance their budgets, or stop raising taxes, when Gavin Newsom can’t even cut spending to provide benefits to illegal immigrants, benefits that aren’t even offered to working citizens of California? Then join the Recall Gavin 2020 movement.

We are building an army to recall Gavin Newsom, and if you answered yes to any of these questions, we need you.

Our petitions are available to download now. If you want to do more, contact the coordinator in your county for the Recall Gavin 2020 campaign, and find out how you can circulate petitions. There are many ways to get involved.

Let’s make history! Join Recall Gavin 2020. The path to making California golden again starts right here.

    #IMPEACHBIDEN

If the democrats want change they usually get it by illegal ways. They're the only party that has assassinated any sitting president, and that's pure fact. Truth be told, they've done it four times in our short history, another undisputable FACT.

Listening to these liberal posters is all the more reason our Constitution is so important! Combined they give it a 2 rating out of 10. Sorry but our forefathers were one up on liberalism and wrote the Constitution to protect our freedoms and control the power that an overreaching government can create.

Try telling that to the 2nd Amendment fruitcakes who insist the document was handed down to Benji Franklin from Jesus, and couldn't possibly by updated..

As the OP said. Time for a bit of a re-write. Let's put some punctionation into the clauses that don't explain if they are build a "well Regulated Milia having the right to bear arms." Or that people can cut the arms off bears... and have those for defence.

The socialist party wants the guns out of its citizens hands, and that is what the right fights against, the government from taking our guns. If you remember history that's what germany did too. That Germany and the Democrat party are looking to being on the same path with biden signing more Executive Orders then the last 3 Administrations combined, and he's only just begun.

I get the feeling you might not have ever read the Constitution. Or read up much on the founding fathers you seem to hold so dear.

Our Founding Fathers were, in fact, socialists. They believed that several “essential” services should be provided by government to the public at large for little or no remuneration. The costs of these services would be shared by the whole. This, by most modern accounts, constitutes socialism.

Supporting our Constitution means supporting our government!
Posted on: 2021-04-27 23:05:30   By: Anonymous

The United States Constitution creates a national government consisting of a legislative, an executive, and a judicial branch, with a system of checks and balances among the three branches. Second, it divides power between the federal government and the states. And third, it protects various individual liberties of American citizens.

Sooooo.....if you’re an anti-government, right-wing lunatic, you actually do not support our precious democracy, NOR DO YOU SUPPORT THE UNITED STATES CONSTITUTION, which lays out the framework of our governance as a nation.

(And Al, ffs: if you’re gonna throw around terms like “Marxism”, at least have a basic understanding of the term!)

Marxists are ANTI-GOVERNMENT, like right-wingers!
Posted on: 2021-04-27 23:10:41   By: Anonymous

Marxists believe that if the working class makes itself the ruling class, and destroys the basis for class society (private property, or what Marx called "Bourgeois Property"), there will be a "classless society." In a Marxist society, no social classes are in conflict, and there is no government anymore.

So, if you’re an anti-government right-wing nut job, you are in actuality quite close to being A F*CKING MARXIST.
