FIRE NEWS.... 2 Acre Vegetation Near Candy Rock Road Caused by Lightning with Continuing Updates if Needed~By Hanna Alldrin
Avery, CA....A 2 Acre Vegetation fire has been reported on Candy Rock Road in the Stanislaus Canyon. Engines 4445, 4461, 4463, 4464, 4442, Murphys Fire with a water tender, and Ebbetts Pass Fire has been dispatched and responding to the fire. The fire has been stated that its on Tuolumne side of Candy Rock. UPDATE #1: The fire is not accessible from the Calaveras County side units are attempting to access the fire from Tuolumne County. Check back for continuing updates if needed.....
Dozer 4442 on their way to the fire in Candy Rock and a Google Maps shot of the affected area. Ignition is probably farther East and Further Down in the River Drainage.
Update....Handed off to US Forest Service at 6pm. We are checking with them now to get a status....
