Hinterhaus Distilling Now Open for Tastings in Arnold!
Arnold, CA...We had the pleasure to stop by Hinterhaus recently to hear their story of perseverance and progress of starting a business during 2020. As our economy slowly opens back up they are now offering tastings for the first time. Their announcement follows as does our interview. From Hinterhaus..."BIG Announcement: tastings are at the 'Haus! We can now offer outdoor, reservation-only tastings for the 1st time since we opened our doors in 2020! To celebrate, our Owner/Distiller Nate Randall will be giving exclusive 4-person tastings & tours of our production space to kick off this long-awaited chapter at Hinterhaus.

A bit more about Hinterhaus
We're Bonnie & Nate Randall, Founders/Owners/Operators/Distiller of Hinterhaus. We were the ones crazy enough to persevere with our longtime plan of opening a distillery amidst a global pandemic in 2020. Chalk that up to good old American determination. We forged ahead, intent on partnering with local vintners, malters & brewers for integrity bottlings despite the raised eyebrows we sometimes received. We're still waiting for the day when the state allows distillers like us to offer tastings and cocktail service (Covid-restricted currently), and we had to pivot in a variety of ways away from our original plans. But you know what? We wouldn't change that for anything. We've had the pleasure of being welcomed into the homes of our patrons each and every time they open up a Hinterhaus bottle.🙏
If you've purchased our small batch spirits or shared them with your friends & family, we raise a dram to you today 🥃 Starting a distillery takes grit. Running a distillery takes dedication. And enjoying success in this industry- particularly amidst the many unique rules & regulations that distillers face- takes a community of patrons who put their support behind the spirits we produce.
If you haven't stopped by yet, we're located in the beautiful Sierra town of Arnold, CA, where we're surrounded & encouraged by fellow souls of grit and determination. Our doors are currently open to the public every Fri-Sun 12-5. Though we don't offer shipping just yet, we welcome you to explore our current lineup of whiskeys, vodka, and liqueurs on our website. Online purchases can be picked up during our public hours OR by appointment.
