Water is an Adventure When You Are Kayaking ~By Hanna Alldrin

White Pines, CA...You know you are a kayaker when you can't go over a bridge without looking for water under it. ~Unknown Author. The eleventh annual Kayak Festival took the water this weekend at White Pines Lake in Arnold. SNAC hosted a fun filled day on the water with kayak rides, kayak demonstrations, food, and a raffle. Over 65 people signed up for the event and wanted to feel the water beneath them while riding some of the high quality kayaks in our area. SNAC had their boats ready and waiting for all of the eager paddlers staring at 10am........

This was a great festival of fun and educational experience for everyone to demo watercraft and other outdoor toys. Paddlers were given a scrumptious lunch provided by local catering business, "Have A Barrel Will Travel" Catering Company in Angels Camp.

There are so many different types of kayaks on the market today, making it very hard for consumers to choose the perfect fit. That is why this festival is such a great experience. Participants were able to demo kayaks that you sit down into, sit on top, tandem kayaks, rapids kayaks and many more. "The kayaks choose the rider, the rider does not choose the kayak," shared the representative from Ocean Kayak.

The festival also held a raffle where all the proceeds went the the White Pines Lake Association in Arnold. "This has always been a great fundraiser for the event and we enjoy testing all the new kayaks SNAC has to offer," shared Sheri Newman from Arnold.

We hope you all enjoyed the water and the wonderful weather!
