Donna Beth Hanan 1931 - 2021

Avery, CA...Donna Beth Hanan entered her eternal home on February 5, 2021 at the age of 89. She was born in Pasadena, California on November 9, 1931. She passed away peacefully at her home in Avery, CA, with family gathered around her. She was a resident in Avery for 44 years.

Donna was preceded in death by her husband of 42 years, Jack Hanan, and her son Don Hanan. She is survived by five children: Jackie Walters (Don), Debbie Gossner (Jan), Mike (Sandy) Hanan, Susan Clark (Michael), Waymen (Stacy) Hanan; Don’s widow Vicki Hanan; 16 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.

Donna and Jack moved to Avery from the Placerville area in 1977. Donna was active in her community: volunteering at the Sierra Nevada Logging Museum in White Pines and the county fair in Angels Camp. She was a vital part of the congregation in Sierra Bible Church in Murphys for many years. She volunteered in their MOPs program and was a member of the church board. She recently started attending Grace Hills Covenant Church in Angels Camp.

Due to current circumstances a celebration of life will be in the future. In lieu of flowers, send any donations to Grace Hills Church or Sierra Nevada Logging Museum.
