Bear Valley Adventure Company is Open & Ready for Your High Country Adventures!

Bear Valley, CA...The Bear Valley Adventure Company (BVAC) is excited to offer cross country skiing, snowshoeing, sledding, and tubing experiences for the 2020/2021 winter season. Since COVID-19 is alive and well, we have instituted some new rules in order to keep everyone safe. Help keep the Bear Valley winter wonderland open by supporting the following changes: General: Do not visit BVAC if you are feeling ill; this includes our groomed trails. Masks covering your nose and mouth are required inside the store, and anywhere social distancing (minimum 6 feet separation from others) cannot be maintained. On busy days, such as weekends and holidays: Be prepared to wait outside the store to maintain healthy spacing indoors. Plan to dress accordingly.

Parking near the store may be restricted. Additional parking is available within a short walking distance.

Be prepared to use outside bathrooms (portable toilets).

An industry motto for winter businesses this season is to "prepare visitors to use their vehicles as their lodge or basecamp." Indoor facilities will be limited.

Staff:
Employees are not allowed to work if feeling ill.
Staff are trained to maintain safe workplaces using healthy spacing, physical barriers, and cleanliness.

Store:
Store guest capacity will be reduced and monitored to facilitate social distancing. Frequently touched surfaces will be disinfected regularly, and hand sanitizer will be available at all touch points.

Retail ski and boot equipment sales are available by appointment only.

Rentals:
Ski, snowshoe, sled, and tube rental are available on a first-come, first-served basis.
Ski boots will be fitted in the store, while skis and poles will be distributed outside.
Personal belongings cannot be left in the store.

Ski School:
We are excited to teach people cross country skiing in small groups, privates, and group/family lessons.
Professional instructional videos on our website will help you prepare to learn more about cross country skiing.

Sledding & Tubing
2-hour sessions will be available and monitored to maintain healthy spacing.

Meadow Café:
Indoor seating will follow CDC guidelines, and Alpine County mandates. Additional outdoor seating will be provided.

Thank you for learning how to navigate Bear Valley Adventure Company this winter. With your cooperation, we look forward to a long winter of sliding, smiling, and enjoying our winter wonderland. If you have any questions or feedback, please do not hesitate to reach out to us.
