Murphys Volunteer Library Rubber Duck Races Coming Up on July 19th!
Murphys, CA....The annual duck races to support the Murphys Volunteer Library will take place on Saturday, July 19, 2008 as part of Murphys Homecoming in Murphys Park. This year, there will be five races: the kids’ races at 1 p.m., 2 p.m. and 3 p.m.; the adults’ races at 1:30 p.m. and 2:30 p.m. Kids’ ducks can be rented for $1.00 each and adults’ ducks for $5.00 each. Tickets will be on sale during weekends in July at various locations on Main Street in Murphys, at Sierra Hills Market, and at the Murphys Library from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday. Great prizes will be awarded the winners of each of the races.....

BOOK SALE
As part of the duck race activity, the Library will hold a huge book sale on the same day. There will be all kinds of books for sale, including fiction, non-fiction, westerns, science fiction, and children’s books. If you have any books you would like to donate to our book sale, please call the Murphys Library at 728-3036 and leave your name and phone number and someone will be in touch with you to arrange pick up of the books.
