Tuolumne Sheriff's Office Will Not Respond to Covid Related Curfew Calls
Sonora, CA...Yesterday afternoon the governor issued a limited stay at home order. We understand the order and respect the authority of executive orders; however, this executive order will not change any aspect of how the Tuolumne County Sheriff’s Office provides safety and security to our community.
Throughout the pandemic, the Tuolumne County Sheriff’s Office and Public Health has taken an education first approach with regard to the public health orders. We will continue to educate and encourage everyone to make the best decisions to keep themselves and their families safe.
Deputies will not be responding to requests for face-coverings, social gatherings, or pandemic related curfews. We will be focusing on patrol operations to prevent criminal activity and preserve the safety of our community.

If you are “drowning in your own lungs” you have a much more serious problem! Learn responsibility, eat healthy, take showers and get exercise. Mom and Dad don’t want you anymore if you can’t be accountable! Easy fix!

Not everyone will drown in their own lungs, but some of our neighbors will. Maybe the 20-somethings out late don’t show any symptoms so they see grandma for thanksgiving. Then she goes to bingo, or church or whatever.

Mom and dad DO WANT THEM. But don't have the knowledge to convey it!!!! That is how they learn. Death is a sober wake up to dysfunctional parents. I would say let it happen and let nature take its course but, the I have a conscience,it is sad that parents don't these days. Blame the parents.

This is not good! People-wear a mask or get one and most places give them out free of charge. I am still religiously wearing my mask as strongly suggested and have been wearing one since last March. I'm also observing the guidelines such as observing 6-foot distancing etc. When the green light or "all clear" sign goes on-that this is all over, then I won't need the mask, etc. anymore!
