St. Patrick’s Helping Hands Thanks Calaveras County Foundation

Angels Camp, CA...St. Patrick’s Helping Hands would like to thank the Calaveras County Foundation for the $1800 donation to our Food Pantry. This grant was used to help purchase food to help the many residents of Calaveras County who have been impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic.

St. Patrick’s Helping Hands is a non-profit 501(c)(3) corporation that distributes food to any resident of Calaveras County once a week. In 2019, we serviced 1,647 households, 3,412 individuals and 168 homeless.

No NFL, NBA, Baseball not any other sports on this television until the protesters stop their violence and behavior. About 80% of athletes are black and from foreign countrys. Sports is not the place to express political views. $10-$50M/year and they use this to provoke anxieties? This is gonna come back and bite those good ones in the ass. November 3rd will tell the truth. Get ready and, take a deep breath. For real!!!

Just cut the cord in protest like the rest of us. There are so many other better and healthier things to do than sit and look at these kind of things. Plus you are being tracked and profiled by what you look at on tv, computer, phone. There is even a tracker in your vehicle. We should not have this happening to us.

If you feel like your 80% of players don't have the right to speak up, you're crazy.
There is no place for violence.
Those that are speaking up for injustice and do so in a nonviolent and legal manner, have every right to do so.
November election has nothing to do with it.

They don't have the right to speak up on their employers time, unless those who employ them say it's ok. They're paid for their services, not their stance on anything, but their ability to play the sport for which they are paid.

        Brains?
Most news reporters are going to ask questions that cover a wide variety of topics.
Players are required to attend post game conferences.
You would also bet that the commissioners of each league would get plenty of input on the stifling of free thought, and free speech.
        Yes, pro athletes have brains.
You're living in the past if you think a team owner has the right to stop speech and expression.
Yes, he could trade any player that he thinks is a threat to his team's fan base and sponsors.
That owner would soon find that most top notch players would refuse a trade to that team.

I agree. I expect when watching sports to be able to take my mind away from all protesting, politics, people's views on what they think. I expect to watch s p o r t s, not politics.
When this first happened with the 49ers I stopped watching, their job is to play and earn their millions by playing sports.
Then the A's had a backup catcher take a knee he said he had a gun pointed at him, so he understood their pain. Well the guy was proven to be a liar, then he was arrested in Arizona for pulling a gun on a female food vender.
Here's the link. Also the Seahawks had a guy named Bennett, said cops in Las Vegas did that too him, AND he was proven to be a list. So those sport teams can shove it, I won't watch them either, and millions of others are doing the same.

Ok. Sports are a diversion. I agree that we watch sports to entertain ourselves.
What some are failing to see is that sports stars, actors, musicians, and all entertainers are looked up to by millions of people. Charles Barkley can say he shouldn't be expected to be a role model, but he is.
Yes, parents should be every child's role model.
Ever since advertising agencies figured out the power that the famous hold over us mere mortals, those same stars should feel some obligation as role models since their paychecks depend on it.
If you feel politics have no place in entertainment, then boycott.
My feelings are that as long as young people hold out hope that they can be the next Heisman, Cy Young, or Oscar winner, then those that do win the awards are prime examples of hard work and dedication.
Along with that hard work and dedication these people also have thoughts and ideas that could/should be shared with others. Not muted.

No, I don't look up to any of them. Why would someone think a baseball player is a hero? Or a musician? Of a football player? Because ho makes money or can catch a ball, wears gold chains, and most can't manage their mom ney, life and common sense? Not into music, TV is for the lazy couch potatoes. No thx, not for me, have fun. To me a hero is those who help their fellow man and put their life on the line doing so. A hero is that dr or nurse, cop, fireman, who go beyond their job to help that person in need. A hero is that person who volunteers to help others. A hero isn't an actor that special effects let's him jump 10 straight up and lands on a semi going 60 mph and shooting someone 100 yards away between the eyes with a subcompact gun. A 6' 10" basketball player who can almost touch the rim flat-footed and dunk. A hero isn't a baseball player who has a 200 million dollar contract who can hit a home run without drugs, and run around the bases while playing with his ball sack.
Last thing I'd want to hear from is someone who's suppose to entertain me because that's what I paid for, telling me what to do or believe in, especially when that person is already full of chit, or a criminal themself or their friends are.

I didn't say everyone looks up to these stars. Many do though, especially young people.
I also stated that parents are the role models that most young people should emulate. Being a parent is a tough job.
Whether you like it or not, stars can be role models in the charity and giving that many of them do. Many stars understand that giving back will benefit them and others in the long term.
I feel many resent the enormous salaries of these stars. I too am resentful of extreme pay and it also carries into the business world of CEO compensation.

Trump and the Republicans/ Conservatives all across the Nation are not the ones who shot unarmed people or end the back. Conservatives are not the ones rioting, looting, burning, attacking law enforcement officers, the criminals doing that are ALL democrats. Stop the hate? That sir would be YOU. YOU are the one on here SPREADING THE HATE. You are the one who ALWAYS POINTS YOUR FINGER at everyone else YOU are the HATE.
You want us to elect Biden? He's done nothing in his entire career. He just recently started saying violence is wrong ONLY because his party said to say that BECAUSE his numbers were falling, and so he's now plagiarizing what our President Trump has been saying all along. And if you remember, Joe's famous for plagiarizing, he's been caught numerous times for doing so.
    YOU stop the HATE.

Yeah moron, just because all these shootings happened in democrat run states, in democrat run cities, and the democrat mayor's and democrat run city councils, hired these democrat cops who shot black democrats doesn't mean anything. It was because of the conservative party's President that this all happened.
So just STFU moron. You conservatives are so stupid

Yeah that's right bro!!! And it's not looting by blacks, it just part of their reparation payments that white people, and white people only, owe Black Americans. Black slaves built this Nation, and Black Americans are owed, and in today's wages. Figure about 60 years of wages to each black American who's a descendent of slavery, should cover it. At least that's what BLM said. "After widespread looting in the city as part of ongoing civil unrest accompanied by a crime wave, on Aug. 11 local Black Lives Matter leader Ariel Atkins openly defended looting as “reparations,” according to local outlets" and don't you find that to be true too?
          https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=DER1IEk8jlo

We need more BLM peaceful protesting up here, A lot More. Come on Democrats let's show our solitary, show the Pukes we won't back down.
          Unite and Fight!
