The Latest on PSPS Outages from Calaveras OES, 13,072 PG&E Customers Included

San Andreas, CA...The latest from county OES...."We've received the latest potential outage area maps from PG&E, and have learned that the Communities of Murphys, Douglas Flat, Vallecito, and the area between Camp Connell to the County line are now INCLUDED in the 13,072 PG&E Customers that may be affected by the potential PSPS Event. The Event timing has also changed a bit; and is now forecasted to begin at midnight tonight to about 4:00a on Tuesday morning. For complete details, see the attached map. If you are in the yellow shaded area, PLEASE prepare to be without power for up to 24 hours. Gather needed water, medications, food and charge any critical battery operated devices. As this event draws closer and closer, we will partner with PG&E to deploy Community Resource Centers in strategic locations."

This state is a JOKE! Liberals have ruined this state to a point of no return. Truly sad. The revenue this state takes in and we have a third world infrastructure. Roads, schools, PGE are all 💩!

    Who needs power?

Why not turn it off for a week just to be on the safe side?

PG&E is a private company. They paid their shareholders, but didn’t maintain their lines.

Having to shut down the power is PG&E's way of admitting their infrastructure and maintenance are unsafe and inadequate in meeting the public's service requirements.

Let’s just be safe, prepared and proactive whatever the reason is we have to do it. I don’t want a fire and I’m pretty sure you don’t either. So suck it up

Well we're Trump supporters and we're good at sucking up whatever our loser feeds us. Making Trump's failures great again.

Sure, while Trump ruins the country and lies about it. Put the blame where blame belongs--on PG&E whose profits have benefited investors but not the public service it is paid to provide.
We are talking YEARS OF DEFERRED MAINTENANCE. Of course politicians on both sides of the aisle have been enablers.

So it's just great that PG&E is worried that what the Santa Ana winds out of LA will drop their power lines up here in the middle of a heat wave. Jaysus! Wind in HP right now is 7mph and is expected to reach 17mph tomorrow at 11 a.m. while temps soar at 97F. WTF is the reason to shut down?

PG&E doesn’t operate in southern California. They are more worried about that 17 mph wind. Their stuff is that old and flimsy.

Its amazing PGE is left off the hook. Protesters should go after PGE brass, especially those who are making 6 - 7 figure incomes.

I don’t want to read through 16 pages of gibberish, what, in one simple sentence is the reason for the outage? The tax revenue left today, shut the forests down, shut the electricity of, what’s next? You could have done this on the3rd. The invaders would have had plenty of warning, but now, we full timers, have to pay the price! By the way many rec. spots need a real break, Murphys Park is crying for relief, as well as White Pines, and the uphill lakes and resivoir s! I think I heard a big gasp from all of Mother Nature when the sun went down tonight!

Yes PG&E has been a disgrace for years. More disgraceful is the political machine that has been paid off and allowed them to get away with their behavior. And of coarse there is the elimination of the effectiveness of Calfire. to the point that they are unable to keep up with the demand. Do you really believe that power lines never fell and started fires, or that lightening has never started fires?

Most fires are human caused. Look on Calfire inci web and when you see "cause unknown" or "under investigation" it means the fire was not caused by a lightning strike.

PG&E outages map sucks
Posted on: 2020-09-07 21:50:17   By: Anonymous

This map is barely readable. Temperatures are expected to be near 100 degree F tomorrow with little wind. Why is PG&E threatening to shut off power? The urban packrats have gone back down the hill and I don't think they torched the forest.
