Patrick Rueda, 50 Passed Away in Motorcycle Accident on Hwy 26

Mokelumne Hill, CA...On August 29, 2020, at approximately 1138 hours, the Stockton Communications Center received a call of a traffic collision involving a solo motorcycle on State Route 26, near Sport Hill Road in the Mokelumne Hill area. Officers from the California Highway Patrol (CHP) San Andreas Area Office responded to the scene and discovered a deceased male motorcycle rider.

It was determined Mr. Rueda was riding a 2015 Honda CBR 1000 RR motorcycle on State Route 26 eastbound, east of Sport Hill Road, at an unknown speed. Mr. Rueda failed to negotiate a curve in the roadway, drove off onto the right shoulder and overturned. Mr. Rueda was ejected from the motorcycle and suffered fatal injuries as a result of the collision.

It is unknown if drugs and/or alcohol were a factor in this collision.

The cause of the collision is still under investigation and no additional details are available.

Had a CBR 1000 when younger. Extremely fast M/C! It was my fifth and last two-wheeler. Reflexes do deminish as we age and I realized that at 45. Prayers to his love ones!

agreed, that is a very powerful bike that can easily overpower anyone, even the most experimented riders

The RR at the of CBR 1000 stands for (race ready!) no modifications needed, about 160mph.

Just like a car, if you don’t know your vehicle, stay off the throttle. Passing takes two seconds when done properly. Now, better know how to down shift and most of all know your breaks. Gets ugly in a hurry! Sure this man knew his bike, very unfortunate indeed!
