Senator Andreas Borgeas on the Passing of Senator Tom Berryhill

Sacramento, CA...Senator Andreas Borgeas (R-Fresno) issued the following statement upon learning of the solemn news of Senator Tom Berryhill's passing: "Our community has lost a giant. Tom Berryhill led a dedicated life of service to his community both in the California Legislature and the Stanislaus County Board of Supervisors," said Senator Borgeas. "Tom was my mentor and imparted the importance of respect, civility and collegiality in California politics. My wife Anna and I would like to express our deepest condolences to the Berryhill family as they endure this difficult time."




Senator Berryhill, a farmer and small business owner, represented the 25th Assembly District from 2006-2010 and the 8th Senate District from 2010-2018. He was born in Ceres, California on August 27, 1953 and passed on August 29, 2020 at age 67. Senator Borgeas succeeded him in representing the 8th Senate District in 2018.
