San Andreas Certified Farmers Market is Weekly from Thursdays 18 June to October 29

San Andreas, CA...The San Andreas Certified Farmers Market is Weekly, Thursdays 4pm to 6pm 18 June to 29 October. Master Gardeners Demo Garden, 891 Mountain Ranch Road, San Andreas. We offer the community access to fresh & healthy produce and products from local farmers right here in Calaveras County. Food that has traveled fewer miles is fresher, more nutritious and has greater flavor. Come to our market for the best produce in town and show your support for local farmers.

Remember you can spend your EBT and P-EBT dollars at both San Andreas and Murphys markets this season. And we offer Market Match, which doubles EBT dollars you spend on fruit and vegetables. Murphys opens June 14th, San Andreas June 18th. See you there!

Your statement is pretty crass. I have to say that what I have seen offered in San Andreas years past, and this year too is not up to par with what the public would like to see and buy.

I stopped this year a couple times and saw not one Tomato. I had Tomatoes already in my own garden, just wanted a few more until my vines started overwhelming me as they are now. I sadly did not even start my garden until June because of the brain fog and feelings of despair I was in dealing with this virus fiasco.

I would expect the so called farmers selling to have some kind of greenhouses to get a start earlier than the average home gardener. The offerings tell me they do not know what they are doing. I'm considering growing more and selling it at a roadside stand for my town.

I did buy some plants from our local Master Gardeners there, and enjoy visiting with them and supporting them as they are all volunteers. It is good that their plants are already acclimated here.

That hasn't been my experience at all, although I agree the beautiful tomatoes and basil can go quickly. The Murphys' market seems to offer more and larger quantities of produce.

I went to a Farmer's Market in Murphys about 10 years ago and bought a tomato. It was a very nice tomato. The lady charged me $8 for it. I never went back to the Farmer's Market.

Real food, raised locally. Thank you farmers and ranchers for taking the time to bring your products to San Andreas and Murphys. Beautiful crafts, too!
