First thing is that word is "wear." Second thing is "Please wear a mask and be considerate of your fellow man. If I'm there and I see you, I will suggest to you to go get a mask otherwise you won't be allowed in there. I also have partners who will be there monitoring and we are also working with the local law. So please don't be defiant and things will run a lot smoother that way. Also we all need to remember doing the social distancing as much as possible! One way or another we will catch this culprit too. Eventually he or she is going to slip up and we'll catch them!

Come on man, wear a mask or don't go to the meeting. Why is this fire so special that they need a meeting. Why ask people to gather in a closed environment so they might contract the virus even though they were a mask.

Agreed. It was interesting to see that aerial images from the news copter on TV. One doesn't really get a sense of how many trees and vegetation are in the area just driving down the street. It's really more dense around Main Street than some forest communities.

What do you mean by were a mask? thank you. Another question is that this meeting is the same time they have the Farmers Market which that could be all good too-as long as folks practice social distancing and wear masks. Maybe th e public works or someone could mark X's on the ground with that ground chalk or something. I have a friend who is a church usher and part of his job is to mark off he available seats in the sanctuary.

Yep, a community circle jerk. Maybe the city could hire the homeless to burn it down every year. They're not concerned enough to actually mitigate the threat. What's to talk about? Just get out there and cut the grass down. No stomach to do that though.

The newest news is........

Tonight at the 8?7, they, the city are holding a meeting, via video, it's all on mymotherlode.com, to talk about declaring a "state of emergency" on this fire to get money??????

Money for who owns the property? Or did the city buy that canyon? If they don't own it what's the deal calling it a "state of emrgency". The town did not burn down. Really City of Angels, pull your heads out of your asses!

The city of Angels Camp is bankrupt and its city council doesn’t have a clue how to fiscally manage a school bake sale. The council geniuses are declaring the emergency so that the state pays for fighting the fire. The city doesn’t have a pot to piss in, or a window to throw it out of....
