Governor Closes All Dine-In Restaurants, Bars, Wineries & Tasting Rooms Statewide Effective Immediately

Sacramento, CA...California is monitoring COVID-19 closely in each local community and keeping the public informed. We’re teaming up with counties to fight it with every tool we have: current local data, testing, contact tracing, infection control, emergency supplies, containment measures, and more. Counties should be ready to restore limitations if outbreaks increase. The State Public Health Officer may take action if needed. Effective July 13, 2020, ALL counties must close indoor operations in these sectors: Dine-in restaurants, Wineries and tasting rooms, Movie theaters, Family entertainment centers (for example: bowling alleys, miniature golf, batting cages and arcades), Zoos and museums, Cardrooms, Additionally, bars, brewpubs, breweries, and pubs must close all operations both indoor and outdoor statewide.

Counties that have remained on the County Monitoring List for 3 consecutive days will be required to shut down the following industries or activities unless they can be modified to operate outside or by pick-up.

Worship services
Protests
Offices for non-essential sectors

Well look who opened up Calif too fast. I guess he thought the economy was more important than lives.
5 the largest economy in the world, the same economy that each and every taxpayer owes $78,000 a piece if we in Calif had to pay our debt.
Worst roads in the nation, worst air quality, and now more people are leaving Calif because we also have worst quality of life, as in happiness in Calif. The state that still lynches Black people.

Maybe if people wore masks this wouldn't have happened. I've been wearing a mask. I work in the health field where it has been mandatory and just makes good sense. I get laughed at and have had rude comments made to me mostly by unhealthy looking, scruffy, old fat men. The small local grocery has an employee that stocks the vegetable bins who wears a mask made out of mesh and others with masks under their chins. How is that supposed work. A local pharmacy and hardware store do not make their employees wear masks. Pretty soon people are going to stop coming to your businesses because it does not look like you care about your customers' health.

    Shields, No Mask
Posted on: 2020-07-13 14:59:43   By: Anonymous

In San Andreas/ Mt Ranch grocery stores, I see shields, no mask.
I guess some just resist science and information.
What is wrong with these people?

I remind them about aerosol transmission- Covid is transmitted by breathing, small particles in the air that can last for 6 hours. Old, young with shields, no mask.
At both stores, employees were filling the produce section with shields, no mask. One had the shield tilted up, WTF guy?
Some have their noses exposed, again WTF?
It appears it all is a joke- a democrat hoax.
How ignorant- Covid is a world epidemic, all democrats? Newsome can control countries around the world ? WTF?
The ignorance is amazing, it exposes the ignorance of Conservatives, who believe shyte heard seen on Qanon, and Fox.
After these people get Covid and have health problems the rest of their life, maybe they will accept facts, science , truth over Conservative baloney?

The ignorance seen, heard in Calaveras county is astounding, I'm embarrassed to know so many hold so much BS as truth- astounding.

For God sakes people get informed and get a clue umkay?

It's not about YOU it's about US- We The people. Wake Up!

The virus is right here. The largest transmission has been a party held by real old time locals. And wait, there are still all those folks that went to Covid positive business in AC that did not quarantine and took no precautions to protect their customers. Your going to find that you don't need to belly up to flatlanders to get the virus.

You and your wife are such garbage humans that you won’t wear masks in your own businesses. You also aren’t making your customers wear them. You both spend all your time s h it talking people in our community who care enough to wear masks to protect others.
People of Murphys, if you want to send a message to people like Russell Irish and his wife Jennifer, don’t patronize their businesses. Don’t patronize any businesses who don’t care enough about everyone in our community to do something as basic as wearing a damn mask.

I was shopping at the Safeway in Martel. While most folks were wearing masks, there was a couple proudly flouting not wearing masks. The fellow had a "2nd Amendment" T-shirt. I'm thinkin', this guy is allowed to own a firearm. Also, the aisles are marked with directional arrows however, very few folks seemed to notice...especially the ones not wearing masks. These weren't flatlanders.

/\/\ I'm glad we had our little family/neighbor gathering on the 4th-very simple and our own small fireworks display right on the street (Safe and sane). We were all Covid 19 free and healthy and always wear our masks. We were also less than 10 people so we satisfied that criteria. I still wear a mask while shopping and going to the post office etc and practice social distancing. I stay close to the house and have my yard work. I take the bus whenever needed to the store and the bus system also require one to wear a mask. I certainly can't object to that and Cal transit/Connect WILL give you masks. I really don't have a need to travel and I'm retired. Then I think wow-I'm saving a lot of money not going anywhere.
I have plenty of things to do here at home like being on line, watching TV, cooking, doing a little art work, reading, puzzles, and last but not least raising my own veggies which by the way am successful with that and looking forward to raising some fall crops. I'm an older senior citizen and with my experience throughout the years and then ups and downs of life, I can survive and know how to adapt and adjust. That's what it takes and when there are strong suggestions (or subtle commands) I heed to those. No wonder I've been still healthy the last few months. I sneeze sometimes but I think thats due to pollen etc. and I take my own temps and have a bp monitor and my medicine (good for every 3 months refills). PS I also obey all laws and I don't tear down statues like these Antifa punks!

We opened too fast with not enough permanent modifications! Also, not enough people including our elected officials ( PD, mayors, etc) who are not on board with enforcing violations. Don’t blame the people who are doing things to slow down the spread of Covid, blame those who are ignorant. Be vigilant, make your voice heard, do not ignore the people who ignore the pandemic.

I don't think protesting during a pandemic helped the numbers. People cry out for mask enforcement and social distancing enforcement, and all other manners of cracking down on people. When the state starts cracking down on these truly mass gatherings I may take things more seriously. We are living in clown world.

Well said about the test and disposal sites. Makes you wonder. We have lost all personal accountability and common sense. Im not saying that this virus isnt killing people, im not saying its not serious. I have grandparents that would not fair well, if at all if they caught this virus. But we take risks every single day. Driving your car, flying in a plane, riding a train, walking your dog, jogging on a road, riding your bicycle over hwy 4. The list goes on, these activities kill people all the time. We need to look at the facts. If you look at the numbers the infection rate is very low, im not a math goo roo by any means. As of 4pm today we have tested in the US 41,002,876 people and the positive tests are 3,350,326. That i believe is around 9percent. I could be wrong but its close. Thats not that bad. Would i rather the positive tests be lower, or even 0? Of course, no one wants anyone to get sick, but look at the facts and educate yourself before you start bashing people. As of 4pm today there were 37,652,550 NEGATIVE results in the US. You dont see that number blasted on the news, you dont hear that almost 1 million people in the US have recovered from the virus. This is all from the CDC website. Whatever good that is of course. Do I condemn you for wearing a mask? Not at all, thats your choice and i respect that because we live in the greatest country on the planet that allows us to have our own opinions and freedom. But please do not disrespect me if i dont. That is my choice. In 2018 1.5 Million people died from Tuberculosis world wide. No pandemic. You didnt wear a mask then. As of 4pm today Covid has killed 566,654 world wide. Flu season from Oct 2019 to April 2020, 29 million cases in the US alone! Talk about spread! Did you wear a mask? No you washed your hands if you came in contact with someone that was sick and kept your distance if you could. We need to stop shutting businesses down and collapsing the economy. How many small businesses are going to close there doors(if not already). Multi generational, family run businesses going down the toilet. The numbers dont suggest this kind of carnage. I have family in the health care system, mainly nurses who have told me of many horror stories about a patient who died from heart failure or some other illness, that tested negative for covid, and the hospital tells them to put covid on the death certificate because the get a pay out. On what planet is that right? Educate yourself. Plain and simple, we all need to stop treating each other like garbage. If your worried about it, wear a mask, stay home as much as you can. But if someone else wants to go take a risk(like we do every single day before covid) dont disrespect them and shame them because you dont agree. Thats why we all live here, freedom. We can all exist in this country peacefully and still have differences. Its time to grow up people, because it could be very different and im sure we wouldnt like it.
