Eleventh Annual Kayak & Canoe Festival in Arnold!

Arnold, CA....Sierra Nevada Adventure Co. will host their Eleventh Annual Kayak and Canoe Festival from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 14, 2008, just outside of Arnold in Calaveras County. Advance reservations are required. SNAC, a local paddlesports and outdoor gear retailer with locations in Arnold, Sonora and Murphys, started the festival eleven years ago as a way to give customers the opportunity to paddle many different boats. “Our festival is a great introduction to recreational paddling and we provide a very positive and.....

safe setting in which to learn about the sport”, explains Shawn Seale, co-owner of SNAC. “Kayaking and canoeing provides a fun, non-motorized way for couples and families to get out in nature and get some exercise”, he continues. With dozens of kayaks and canoes for customers to demo at the festival, there will be no shortage of boats to try.

Manufacturer representatives from Hobie Kayaks, Native/Heritage Kayaks and Necky Kayaks will be on hand to answer specific questions and assist paddlers. Entrance to the one day event is $40 for adults and $25 for children under 13. A barbeque lunch will be provided and participants can take part in paddling demos, several clinics, a raffle for hundreds of dollars in outdoor gear prizes, and much more.

To ensure a quality event for everyone, space is limited. For more information or to purchase tickets for the 11th Annual Kayak & Canoe Festival on Saturday, June 14th, contact Sierra Nevada Adventure Co. at 209-795-9310 or visit online at snacattack.com.
