Annabelle Jordan: December 25, 1929 - May 20, 2020

Arnold, CA...Annabelle Carmen Jordan, 90, of White Pines California passed away at home surrounded by her family on May 20, 2020. She was born December 25, 1929, to parents Noel and Ruth James in Gridley, California. Annabelle moved to White Pines as a young girl where her father was employed by Blagen Lumber Company. During her time attending Bret Harte High School and while she was in college, Annabelle also worked for the company, where she met the love of her life, Glen Jordan. They were married in 1949 and built their own house in White Pines in the following years. They lived there together happily for 66 years, where they raised their four children and always made it an open, warm and loving place for family and friends to stop by. Annabelle was the postmaster in Avery until she retired in the early 90’s to travel with her husband, Glen.

Annabelle cherished her family, being outdoors and traveling with Glen. They took many memorable motorcycle and camping trips throughout California and the United States. She had her own motorcycle which she loved riding to work, around town and into the High Sierras. Camping in the mountains with her family, as well as, riding her quad across the Arizona desert were some of Annabelle’s favorite activities. She and Glen were part of the Mother Lode Model A’s Club and would wear clothing from the 1920’s era during club functions. Boating and waterskiing with family and friends were also many of her fondest memories.

Annabelle is survived by her brother, George (Carol) James of Martinez CA, her four beloved children, Jim (Esther) Jordan of Waxahachie TX, Tone (Janet) Jordan of Avery CA, Tim (Linda) Jordan of Southern California, Tami Ruisi of Arnold CA, as well as multiple grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. Annabelle was preceded in death by her husband Glen and son-in-law, Ron Ruisi.

Please remember Annabelle fondly in your memory and prayers. As per her request, a small family service will be held at a later date.
