Artists’ Reception at Harbinger Gallery in Arnold Featuring Murphys Artist Sarah Evans

Arnold, CA....The Harbinger Gallery in Arnold is pleased to welcome back the very talented oil painter Sarah Evans from Murphys. Ms. Evans has participated in several two-person and group shows at the Harbinger during the past 12 years, but this year she is scheduled to be the sole featured artist during the busy Memorial Day Holiday weekend, and throughout the month of June. A solo exhibit in her honor at the Harbinger Gallery will open Friday, May 23 with a special meet-the-artist reception held on Saturday, May 24 from 6 to 8pm at the gallery located in Cedar Center, next door to the Blue Coyote Cafe.....

In Harbinger tradition, Sarah Evans has had the duty of opening the door to Spring in Arnold and treating us to her own impressionistic interpretations of garden landscapes and exotic floral arrangements. Rich color, broad strokes, and layered texture all combine to produce wonderful renditions in the post-impressionism genre.

Sarah Evans is a traditional oil painter, giving respect to her greatest influence and father of impressionism, Claude Monet. Beautiful color and rich texture come through in her portrayals of garden landscapes and local secret hideaways. Evans has recently explored the plein air style of painting, with wonderful results. She has painted on location all around Calaveras country and the High Sierra, including beautiful renditions of Lake Alpine, Yosemite, and the rolling hills of the Motherlode.

The Harbinger Gallery will open this exhibit on Friday, May 23 and it will run through June 30, 2008. For more information or to request pictures, please contact Greg at 209/795-5957 or email greg@harbingerproject.com The Harbinger in Arnold is located at 1224 Oak Circle, in Cedar Center.
