Marijuana Cultivation Eradication in Glencoe

San Andreas, CA...On May 7, 2020, the Calaveras County Sheriff’s Office Marijuana Enforcement Unit served a search warrant for illegal marijuana cultivation at a residence in the 500 block of Three Cent Flat Rd, in Glencoe. Deputies located and seized 1,285 growing marijuana plants and 20 grams of processed marijuana. The grow operation consisted of several greenhouse type structures and a garage which had been converted into a growing room. Calaveras County Code Enforcement was called out to the scene and issued a notice of violation for hazardous electrical, junk, debris and unpermitted additions.

The comments on the other news outlets are not like this. This site is where the racists and weak come out to play. You mention someone by name and the site removes the post. You make derogatory racists comments and they keep it. Hypocrisy.

The racist comments are most likely written by some weed growers trying the stir up angst against the citizens who don't want commercial here. The regulation brought these criminals and polluters here, hiding in plain sight.

Hypocrisy at its finest , let’s bust some hmongz with a tiny crappy grow.meanwhile we can have 50000 plant grows just down the road . As long as they pay off the cops.
The sheriff dept and board of supes are complicit in this corruption . Why are we considering having commercial grows in this county ??

Because it’s a legal grow , you pay extortion monies and you get paid police protection..

Also what kind of person “tips them off”

some type of snitch that’s who you’d fit right into commie china.

genius, legal grows mean they don't have to pay "extortion moneys" anymore. get a clue here. government extortion of the growers via the ridiculous taxes and regs is a whole other story that i doubt is anywhere on your radar

How do you know if it was a legal grow or not? No matter what the CCSO has to "clear everything" out since nothing has been established for valid growers yet, i.e., ID cards. I know this for a fact and that's probably going to take a while for that to happen Who knows it may be a real hot summer too-hint! hint! So take a wild guess!

I think the sheriff dept should sell it to a company to make CDB oil, use the money from the raids for equipment needed and new hirings.
Win win using the money to bust the criminals at their own game.
Use a hotline for the public to call in possible grows, if busted, the confidential caller gets substantially awarded.

I would like to see legal grows with the criteria being one has to be a local of Calaveras County for a certain number of years. That probably cant be done though, it might be some sort of discrimination. Also it may be safer for the community and the growers if the addresses of the grows were not public information.

Yes the addresses being public information seem to be what may invite chaos rather than the local growers tending to their businesses. I liken it to how unsafe it might be if residents who had valuables in their homes also had their addresses public with the information of their valuables listed. I don't smoke or grow, but i do think it should be more de-criminalized.
I also like that idea of being a local to grow as a criteria if applying for legal grow. Interesting comment, thanks.

Bingo. So you don't want addresses posted for growers because it likens it to posting addresses for valuables? None of us want that either and that is precisely why we have marijuana murders. Eleven and counting. That is why Humboldt has Murder Mountain. Thank the three: Merita who has no ethics, Stopper who is not helping, Garamendi, the spoiled, and Amanda who is not being honest. We must stand for a non-polluted county.
