Arnold Residents Attends Lions Club International District 4-A1 Convention

Arnold, CA....Arnold Residents, of Arnold Lions Club, President Larry Haskell, and his wife Bobbi, Region Chair Bob Zetterberg and wife Carrie, 1st Vice President Mike Heffernan and wife Kathy, Past President and Club Counselor Frank Hengel and wife Alice, Lions Marty and Sam Ware, and Harry and Sherry Tittle recently attended the 59th Lions Clubs International District 4-A1 Convention in Lake Tahoe, Nevada. The eight Arnold Lions were one of over 250 Lions who participated in the meetings that drew representatives from 65 local chapters.....

Convention delegates attended workshops, elected district officers, and learned about important issues facing communities around the world. Through our Campaign Sight First II program Lions have a goal to eliminate preventable blindness worldwide. Six dollars can save one person’s sight with 100% of the donations going to Campaign Sight First II to provide “Vision for All”.

According to Lion Sherry Tittle, Lions are blessed with the opportunity to improve the lives of others and make a difference in our communities and the world.

The Lions encourage you to “come hungry and leave full.” Proceeds from past fund-raising events have gone to educational scholarships, youth activities, local schools, blood drives, the student speaker contest, and the Lions’ Eye Mobile.

The Arnold Lions Club has 75 members and meets on 1st and 3rd Wednesday at Snowflake Lodge at 5:30 p.m. Lions clubs are a group of men and women who identify needs within the community and work together to fulfill those needs. For more information or to get involved with the Arnold Lions Club, please contact Harry Tittle at 209-795-1655.
