"Tree Tech" is Back and We are talking Phones Again....Video Enclosed
Sonora, CA...We have been conducting a long term test of an HTC 6800 Windows Mobile Phone. Not only have we fallen in love with the device it seems it is also making friends among some of the other users we spoke with. It is a true Swiss Army Knife like device. It's a good phone with great reception, a full fledged PDA, it takes good quality pictures, it's small enough that it doesn't feel like you are holding a brick to make a call like some of the early Blackberry's. The PPC 6800 can...
also expand with your needs. I put a 2gb Mini SD card in the phone I am testing and we even heard of a person using an 8gb card. With the the prices of cards coming down to under $10 per GB carrying an enormous amount of data with you was never this easy before.
Another side benefit is that unlike just having the data on a USB stick when it is in a phone like this you can actually manipulate and use the data. They also sell a myriad of adapters that will allow you to use your Mini SD cards just like a standard USB flash drive. So you can work on something on you phone pop the card out and plug it into you pc and continue right where you left off.
It has WiFi. While many of you may never use this function it can have many benefits. When you are home or near a WiFi Hotspot your phone can become a small entertainment system. You can watch and steam video right to your pocket. You can also load Skype on your phone and make those free calls to your brother in Bangladesh just like you could from you laptop. In some cases it is better to use Skype on your phone as you are no longer tethered to you PC. You are free to roam.
Is the PPC 6800 perfect? No...phones like the Treo and the 6800's newer sibling the Touch are probably better for single hand use. If you are looking however for the most power and functionality you can squeeze into your pocket then the HTC 6800 is one of the best choices out there.
