On Your Mark, Get Set.....Angels Camp Triathlon This Saturday!
Angels Camp, CA....The Annual Angels Camp Triathlon, hosted by On Your Mark Events will be held this Saturday, May 10th. Check in and race day registration opens at 7am. Event start time is 8:30am. The athletes will be competing in a 1000 yard swim, 16 mile bike ride and a 4 mile run. The Triathlon will take place at New Melones Reservoir Glory Hole Entrance.....
What a way to begin the season! A fast, fun, warm and scenic course that concludes with a great barbecue which includes beer too! Water temperature will be mid 70's - wet suits are not necessary. Air temperature will be approximately 80 (by 10:30 am). The bike is a rolling, scenic loop course. The run is rolling road and jeep trail. Water will be available on the run. Fees include POST RACE BARBECUE, T-shirt, raffle and awards ceremony! Barbecue at 12:00 noon at Utica Park covered area on Highway 49 2.5 miles north of New Melones Glory Hole entrance. BBQ for non-entrants is $10.00.
Awards include carved soapstone trophies for the overall male & female and carved glass trophies for the top masters. Medals will be 3 deep in 10-year age increments to 70+.
Awards and raffle will be held at the Barbecue at approximately 12:30-1:00 PM.
