Valley Springs, CA...The public was invited to Habitat for Humanity Calaveras’ first groundbreaking Ceremony of a Habitat home in the Valley Springs area on Sunday, April 27, 2008 at 2 p.m. at 3308 Dunn Street, in Rancho Calaveras. Participating in the ceremony were District 5 Supervisor Russ Thomas, and Lucy Thein, President of the Board of Directors of Habitat for Humanity Calaveras, Gary Tofanelli, Supervisor Candidate even made an appearance....
Pastor Gregory Floyd of the Valley Springs Community United Methodist Church will offerer prayers for the family.
The prospective owner of this Habitat home, Theresa Renfro and her family, were present along with other Calaveras County Habitat families.
When asked about when the building will begin, they were unsure as to the exact date. The home location is in a lovely setting with a woody feel.
Congratulations Theresa Renfro and family...This is well deserved.
On Saturday May 10th, from 9am~4pm, Habitat for Humanity is holding a "Women's Build Day." They are inviting women to participate in this day of work on this new home for the Renfro family.
And by the way, your little daugher is absolutely darling! Our sons had a wonderful time playing with her!
