Calaveras County Animal Services Pets of the Week! Help We're at Catpacity!!
San Andreas, CA...Help - we’re at Cat-pacity! The shelter currently has kittens galore in a variety of colors and sizes. Though the little one pictured here has been adopted, there are many more healthy, playful, beautiful babies looking for a home. Why not consider taking home two so they will always have a playmate?
Even if you are home during the day, the attention a single kitten demands may occupy many of your waking hours. A pair of kittens will want to interact with you as well, but they can amuse each other while you carry on with daily activities. Kittens are also active at night and a single kitten may awaken you with jumping, pouncing and other hunting behavior.
Two kittens, however, will stimulate each other by finding interesting shadows to chase and games to play until they eventually tire and fall asleep. Simply put, kittens that remain with a littermate or a similarly aged companion are healthier, happier and better socialized. But the best reason of all to adopt a pair - the knowledge that you have saved not one but two lives.
As with all cats available for adoption at the Calaveras Animal Shelter, these little ones will be up-to-date on routine vaccinations and micro-chipped. Please note that kittens will need to be spayed or neutered before going home with you.

Animal Services is open to the public from 10 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Tuesday - Saturday (closed for lunch from 1-2 p.m.).
