Really?

Poorly worded statement.
How could they not vote yes to having adequate text books and materials?
It's like saying, should we have fire trucks and fire hoses for firefighters.
Should we have vehicles, guns, and body armor for law enforcement?

Evidently in the VUSD those materials are considered optional, their adequacy that is. I'd be horrified as a parent to know that is the attitude of the board and superintendent.

Seems like that should have been done before the school year started.

And yet we had to have the Ebbetts Pass Fire District put out a measure to insure the department had updated equipment.

People! Relax!
This is an annual requirement of Ed Code and is done just like this every year with public notice to the district’s stakeholders (you) to comply with the law (worded as such).
And yes, they vote yes.
Due diligence ensures the curriculum for each subject is approved by the state, piloted, recommended, and approved by the Board for adoption.

99% of us don't work in education, when you Mr or Mrs know it all tell us to relax shows your high and mighty attitude towards the community! So my advice to you Mr. Educator, communicate so that everyone out here knows what you are talking about! You are one of the reasons why so many parents have jerked our kids out public school, we are tired of your condescending attitude, you see, your not the only rodeo in town!
