This Mornings BOS Meeting Recap. Jack Kautz's Murphys Oaks Project Moves Forward. ~By John Hamilton
San Andreas, CA....The Board of Supervisors was in a Passing Mood this morning as most items on the agenda passed. There was also a wonderful Survivors Quilt on Display to help promote the upcoming Relay 4 Life. The consent agenda items sailed through including the Mintier & Associates item amending their contract for work on the General Plan. The Big Ticket items...
also sailed through with only minor discussion. The biggest was Jack Kautz's Murphys Oaks. This project will be an infill project that will create 46 parcels on 14.4 acres. The property is on the west side of Bret Harte Drive at State Highway 4 in Murphy's.
John and Maria Stoughton's project moved forward as well. The applicant requested a General Plan amendment from High Capacity Timberlands (20 acre minimum) to Residential Center (5 acre minimum), a Zoning amendment. This passed over the objections of a neighbor who was concerned about erosion & debris flowing onto his property. The Supervisors considered the county's regulations to be a sufficient solution.
Overall it was a lighthearted affair as far as meetings go.
