Trio Makes Unsuccessful Jail Escape Attempt
Sonora, CA...From the Tuolumne Sheriff's Dept...Caught in the act! Last night, three jail inmates tried to escape but didn’t get far. 28-year-old Jacob Sabins, 38-year-old Josiah Silveira, and 44-year-old Larry Vannatta are now facing additional charges of attempted escape and criminal conspiracy.
Deputies heard the commotion and spotted the three men on surveillance video breaking a window in their housing unit that leads outside the facility. They also took apart items in their unit to use as tools in their escape attempt. Their plan was flawed and the men were stopped before they could make a run for it.
