I support legal marijuana, but in this case he knew it was illegal and did it anyway, so he should feel the full force of breaking the law.

The law is the law! I don't think Calaveras County will ever see commercial cannabis cultivation again. Too many problems and most of the citizenry don't want it!

And why Calaveras County will always be poor. “They” never want any kind of change and not open to possibilities.

Calaveras County will not always be poor. Calaveras County has many opportunities. If you haven't done your research and believe commercial pot is the a career here (as if that were true), then you are misinformed. In any other CA county where commercial marijuana is legal, it's apparent none of the commercial growers are making a living - at all. Sadly It's only the big farms that have license of scale that can make it work. So even if the Supes lost their sense of fiscal duty and commitment to our environment, our health, our safety, and forgot their duty to other responsibilities and put this county in a huge state of legal vulnerability and allowed some small regulation, they would be sentencing small growers here to certain financial doom (if they haven't lost everything already). It's not going to work.

Marijuana is legal. It's the commercial cultivation/chemicals/chaos/crime that is tough to support.

It against the law to have a high capacity magazine? Why did Californians buy millions of them in beginning of April those magazines are legal.

Exactly what I was thinking when I saw that meal! First of all it’s all tan with no green or colorful fresh food on the plate! If they are promoting their barbecue scene, why not have some nice grilled chicken or salmon on a fresh spring mix salad with strawberries and blueberries? Come on fitness place!! It starts with you!

Oh no, building code violations? Good chance that the grower will probably have a bail amount set then. If it was just for growing, illegal weapons and the illegal magazine he'd be out on OR like all those other felons who get arrested with loaded guns, drugs, skipping a court apperance or six, not paying child support and being a Democrat living the dream without an ounce of brains. I know that hurt many feelings, but face it....that's the truth and YOU know it. Just ask the gal who's working and is single with kid/s, who's loser of a partner plays on his Xbox, plays disc golf, then goes and pounds a few beers with his friends while his lady is working taking care of everyone. Ya gotta admit one thing though, they're fun to hang with, well unless they know you got money on you...🍺

i just looked at the Calaveras booking log, this man was arrested on 7/11/19 NO weapons charge mentioned I see a fireworks charge haha, sounds like the sheriff's try to make it look worst then it really is considering if there was trash they would have taken pics of it and posted it. Every report about marijuana raids and the charges have been false just look at the charges there booked on and what the press releases say.

So what's the big deal about weapon charges? Whether he had those charges or not that's totally irrelevant. The thing is that he was arrested for illegal cultivation of commercial cannabis which is not allowed in this county and it probably won't ever be! The law is the law and he broke it!

And Tronald and his little flunky group are sending folks around the county to infiltrate neighborhoods and or apartment complexes to sabotage their lifestyles-smoking that stuff in public where it's not supposed to be smoked! I hope our landlord can successfully evict this tenant soon as he said he would-another one of these pot smokers, but can't pay the bills like rent, etc. Seems like some folks can afford to drink and smoke dope or whatever but they can't pay the rent or other bills-a bunch of leeches! I'll tell you one thing-you can't get rid of me and I and other fellow citizens in our my neighborhood will see to it that there is "hide nor hair" of any visible pot smoking going on. If a person wants to smoke pot in hisher own home etc, then fine. Just don't do it around me!

BTW, the only meds I take is for blood pressure. I take it very religiously and that's why I stay so healthy. I bet I could outlive some of you pot smokers in terms of years! The stuff is going to kill you! Well to each their own-if your want to kill yourself (and your brain cells), fine by me! Smoke on just don't smoke it around me!

The creepy ones are the ones who hide behind fake names and slam others, not Stephen. So stop with the silly, childish comments. Retool, retrain, and revisit another line of work. No small grower can make a living with State of California regulations on commercial marijuana. This was foreseen about 15 years ago.

This is an old story. John Hamilton must be hitting the sauce hard.
Way behind, must have caught up on the motherlode and the enterprise and thought maybe his followers wouldn't notice. Pinetree.nut the place to catch up on old ass news...this site stinks more than it ever has.
Maybe SRS will tell us a tale or two on old ms whipple. Or you know back in the day when he hung out with mark twain, his times on the tenderloin as a pro, and last but not least hard times in a country jail..quite possibly all inside a woodshed.

The guy got too greedy! Anyone can look at an aerial photo like on Google maps (for those who have access or know how to access) and see that after comparing it to the pic in this article. It's obvious. One can also look this all up on the assessors parcels maps and tax collectors maps. This guy will probably lose the whole property and everything I guess. Then the CCSO just acquired some more modern high tech survellance equipment so they can really speed up the process of busting more defiant folks out there. Seems like the LE folks are staying one step ahead. As I said before-the law is the law!
