Family & Friends Say Body of Journalist David Gordon Johnson Has Been Found

Mokelumne Hill, CA...From Abigail Bassett via Twitter.."It absolutely breaks my heart to be the bearer of this news. The Calaveras County authorities have let us know that they have recovered Davey's body. He was found in the river. Jaclyn has asked me to share the news.

We are immeasurably appreciative of the efforts of the Calaveras County Search and Rescue Teams, the Calaveras County Sheriff’s department, and the numerous teams from all over the state, that have been involved in the effort to bring Davey home.

At this time we ask that the privacy of Davey's family and his friends be respected. We will share more information as it becomes available. Memorial details will be determined by the family and announced at a later date."

Very sad news. I'm still not convinced it was a self inflicted drowning. The mentally ill and drugged transients have taken over that site and ran off the locals with their craziness. He very well could have been blindsided by them.

Hopefully there are cameras installed and it is patrolled so the site can be taken back, and made safe for everyone wanting to visit it.

Why do we owe you ? Get a job & work for your needs. Don't expect us to take care of you. You need to advocate for yourself sometimes.
