Gladys Mae Jeff 1944 - 2019

West Point, CA...West Point, CA...Surrounded by her loving family, Gladys Mae Jeff, 74, entered into rest on May 27, 2019 in Manteca, Ca. She was born November 26, 1944 in Sonora, California to the late Manuel and Eva Jeff. Gladys preceded in death by her siblings David Jeff and Frances Grow. Ms. Jeff is survived by her children; Brian Dunlap, Berry Montch Jeff and Daveen Williams (Doug). She was blessed by nine grandchildren; Raquel Williams (Jimmie), Asumute Williams, Isabella Williams, Kyle Dunlap, Adam Dunlap, Alex Dunlap, Autumn Vallerga, Dreama Vallerga and Cheyenne Jeff. She has one surviving sister Mildred Burley as well as many nieces and nephews who loved her dearly.




Gladys grew up in White Pines, California and for the past twenty years, she lived in Manteca; previously of Ione and West Point. She attended Calvary Community Church and was a member of the California Basket Weavers Association. She and her sister were the last of the Jeff family that were fluent speakers of the Miwuk language teaching generations under them the importance of the Miwuk Language, Heritage and Culture. Gladys enjoyed spending time with her German Shepard Jaxx, basket weaving writing poetry. Above all family was most important to Gladys, she loved each one of them uniquely and unconditionally. She will be remembered as a loving mother, amazing grandmother and a wonderful sister. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
